COMICS: "Superior No More" - Solicits For SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #9 & #10

The covers and solicitations for the ninth and tenth issues of Superior Spider-Man have hit, and they tease some major upheavals to come! Including something that will "get you angrier than you were after Spidey #700", and the return of The Green Goblin..

No pics of Gobby just yet I'm afraid, but as you can see from the following solicits, he's definitely returning. Can we also look forward to a final battle between Peter and Ock for the body of Spider-Man? Certainly sounds that way. Check out the covers and details and then sound off with what you think will happen below.

Loving this series! Absolutely brilliant read, but I think they should maybe tone down the amount Peter's in it (yes, I said that :P). Loved the whole jokes about the "Spider signal' basically just broadcasting his position to his rogue gallery :P

Really recommend people pick this up, it won't last forever and Peter will be back, but til then, this is a great read, can't wait to see what'll make people "angrier".

But it says "angrier" not "happier" :P Maybe there'll be a fight between the two for his body, and this time Ock somehow gets rid of the ghost Peter, so he's completely gone from the book. That'll make people angrier :P

What did that idiot Stephen Wacker say? "Peter Parker fans will fade over time." If that's the case, then why is he still around?

I can see why people think Marvel hates Spider-Man.

Despite how well Waid wrote DD's interaction with Spidey-Ock....as a retailer I simply DO NOT know how to confidently push this (steaming pile of pure. sh!t.)storyline

Oh well...maybe Gobby will kill EVERYONE and save the day lol

Doc Ock will be transferred into some sort of machine and Peter will be back in-time to be raped by another writer.

Waid's Daredevil issue with Superior Spider-Man was the only time I actually enjoyed him. The reason he doesn't work in the main book is because Dan Slott is not a good writer. His stories are contrived and his dialogue is cheesy. Superior Spider-Man talks like he has a thesaurus with him on standby in case he has to monologue.

I genuinely don't see why everyone is so pissed at this. Slott has tried something new and injected life into the franchise. And if you think that Spider-Ock will stick around then you obviously don't understand how comics work.
Give this story a chance, it's a damn good read.

I haven't been so excited to read a new Spider-Man comic in years, and I've been reading the comics for 20 years now.
I literally look forward to each new issue. So whether I like what's happened, I can't stop myself from eagerly anticipating what's next.

Maybe it's because I just really want Pete back. So thanks Dan Slott. I dropped all of the DC titles. Marvel is still going strong.

Superior Spider-Man offers one thing to Spider-Man only. Ock has shown Peter a couple things to improve on that Pete is too blind to see himself. That's about it. It also gives a shot at a Peter and MJ relationship.

I think SS is good, but like most comic arcs these days, they've rushed into things. Doc Ock should have been Spidey - without this (rather silly) Parker-Ghost addition - up until issue 10, and THEN this big revelation should have been that Peter still has some control. They could have spun that out for another few issues, and then hit us with a big showdown or whatever.

I actually like the more cerebral Spider Man that Ock plays, in alot of ways it just logically makes more sense. With all of Peter Parker's given genius he barely uses it in many ways, nor does he utilize half the tools he has at hand. To naysayers The Superior Spider-Man has been an Epic read. And fairly certain when Peter returns to being Spidey he will go about it in a different way. Ock has outclass him in so many ways. I honestly wouldn't mind Ock being a hero as long as he doesn't return to his former body. But i'd also hate for another Parker look alike to be running around. Can't wait for the return of the Green Goblin this is going to be good!
