FAN MADE: THOR's Jaimie Alexander As WONDER WOMAN

The actress - who plays Lady Sif in Marvel's Thor movies - has spoken about playing Wonder Woman in the past, and been vocal about previous attempts to bring her to the screen. So here's a really cool manip of Alexander as the Amazonian Princess herself..

Many people think Jaimie Alexander would make a great big-screen Wonder Woman, and she has actually spoken about the prospect on a couple of previous occasions. Alexander feels that - done right - the character could work as a great role model for young women, but done wrong:

"They tried to reboot Wonder Woman, which was a huge embarrassment if you ask me. Adrianne Palicki’s great, but you can’t take someone – no matter how talented – and put them in a trashy costume, then say they’re supposed to be a positive role model for women. I don’t think she got into it thinking that’s what they’re going to do, and I think she played her hand as well as she could, but that project was just not the way to go.

I’ve actually been approached a couple of times about it. I think right now, my loyalty is to Marvel. But yes, I’d love to play more characters like Sif: keep the young girls of the world safe from slutty costumes and poorly written scripts!"


So, it's a possibility! And if Alexander ever did feel like strapping on the gauntlets, she could look a lot worse as Diana than she does in this manip from the Cosplay Paradise Tumblr page.

I don't know if it's in an article but I know it has been used in comments especially recently. Someone has it posted on the article discussing Olivia Wilde as WW.

This looks alright and I wouldn't be opposed to her being cast but I prefer Kris Anka's redesign for WW; think it'd be a good look for the eventual movie and even the comics now; click here to see!

Yeaaahhhh....Wonder Woman the CHARACTER is presently in a great series and at her best isn't any cheesier than the average superhero. Less so than some.

Her outfit, however, unquestionably IS cheesy. Horribly, horribly cheesy. We fans can talk all we like about altering the "classic" outfit to a gladiator deal or what-have-you. We're still going to end up with a Wondy in pants if she ever gets a screen debut. We'll be lucky, in fact, if we even spot cleavage. Can you imagine the WB meetings as they contemplated DC's archetypal superheroine being released to mainstream feminists? Yah, I'd be very surprised if there weren't pants.

She's not a good choice for WW. Pretty... yes. Star power... no. Plus she doesn't really look like WW in the face. Manipulation is OK.

nah... pants look stupid.

I mean, nothing about Wonder Woman's costume really serves a purpose outside of being a costume anyways, so why not go with the skirt look? Heck, if it's an ancient Amazonian outfit, it DEFINITELY wouldn't have pants.

It's funny that women call the Wonder Woman suit "trashy" or "slutty", but then when they decided to give Diana pants and a jacket they got all ticked and wanted the old costume back... Very poetic.

funny. i seem to remember people saying the same thing about each of the avengers. one and a half billion dollars later, they don't do say that anymore.

Thank god for the new 52 costume. I always thought Wonderwomans old costume was shit, those star-spangled, grandma panty bottoms are a joke. New one looks a lot better.
