with all this inmortality talk...

what would happen if Wolverine was cured?

like Magneto, Mystique or Rogue on Last Stand...

would he become 100 years old now of a sudden? or would die directlly?

TheMadman
TheMadman - 6/7/2013, 11:43 AM
Gambgel, his age wouldn't catch up with him all of a sudden, it'd be just like he's 40, but the adamantium would poison him and if it didn't he'd have maybe 45 years of natural life left.

This thing of "Wolverine is going to lose his immortality ohh the drama" has really nothing to do with the character at all. Not trying to be a bitching fanboy, but is really awful to see the movie changing the character essence like that, and then non comic readers will think that wolverine is the immortal man.

He's not immortal in original x-men stuff. As seen in what happens in Old Man Logan, he just gets old realllllyyy slowly, not immortal! but last weird crazy stories in comics have made him pratically immortal, so as the fox movies.

They should put some action scenes onto the posters.

with the recent trend of Superhero movies actually embracing the costume, wolverine is really in the background. Seriously. Even the X-Men in first class had colorful costumes. And yet Logan still has nothing... Not even a samurai suit that looks like his comic. IDK that just makes it kind of boring. Ad that to the fact that they are taking his powers away? Then it becomes just a movie about a dude in Japan. Its basically James Bond in Tokyo now. James Bond was in China last year. YAWN. Seen it. Give me a costume and I'll see it. At least the brown one for cripes sake. People bitch about costume accuracy on every article accept Wolvie?

I think they just need to slow down how quickly he heals in these movies

Is funny how some comic book movies recently are following the "take his power away for most of the movie" trend. Iron Man 3: take his suits away for most of the movie, TDKR the same, Wolverine: take his "immortality away", Ghost Rider: "get him ride of his curse" etc etc etc. That's really original.

Why are Fox putting out posters saying Wolverines Immortal?

FOX GET YOUR FCUKING FACTS STRAIGHT!!

Wolverine is not immortal...he just ages slower then everyone else...*cough Old Man Logan cough*

FCUKING retards!!
marantaz
marantaz - 6/7/2013, 3:13 PM
SuperSomething616, you've stumbled upon it! They're saying he's immortal, but after this, he won't be, he'll be aging slowly, that way Jackman can play the role forever and Fox can keep the rights to Wolverine as long as Jackman is willing to stick around. Talk about milking a cash cow!

An awfully low-concept poster for such a high-concept movie.

That is to say, it's an awfully artsy poster for a big-time action movie.

I like it!

thenerdicon4
thenerdicon4 - 6/8/2013, 7:13 AM
to be fair though, aging at a slow rate is almost like immortality. He is going to live much much longer than most people. And many of his friends and family will grow older and die before him. More of a metahorical immortality?
