Am I the only one who thinks Henry Cavill needs a haircut in the sequel?

I hear Henry auditioned for Batman Begins. He would've made a damn good Batman:

Oh come on. I like Franco, but the guy has to move on. Sam Raimi's trilogy sucks, why is he still going on about it. He's done much more (and better) movies since Spider-Man. 127 Hours and Rise of the Planet of the Apes to name a few, why is he still bothered about this. Dane Dehaan FTW!

I agree with Franco.

MOS is great.

TASM is shit.

Don't like it? Bite my shiny metal ass.

as much o loved Franco in 127 Hours ... he's a rather hit and miss kind of actor, especially for me.

Spiderman Trilogy, You Highness, Rise of The Planet of the Apes.

A horror.

I recently re-watched both Spider-Man and TASM back-to-back and found that the 2002 film is the superior film. I would actually go as far as to say TASM is my least favorite Spider-Man film. Yes, I know everybody says SM3 is the worst of them all, but then I took another look at SM3.

Yes, it is still a heavily-flawed, disappointing, and goofy film. However, the first hour of the movie is actually pretty good. I won't go much into detail in case I want to make an editorial about this in the future, but needless to say that if the entire movie was like the first hour, SM3 would have been a pretty good movie.

The biggest problem with TASM (outside of it's incredibly stupid morals) is that it fails to justify its existence. Nobody would be upset if this film was never made. This movie brings nothing new to the Spider-Man franchise.

@LEVITIKUZ- Which reminds me, as a fellow Futurama fan, do you plan on watching the season premiere tonight?

MOS is good not great. Both it and IM3 have both failed to meet expectations as the two biggest superhero movies this year. Looks like Wolverine and Thor have to pick up the slack.

Spiderman and spiderman 2 are supremely better than TASM. Spiderman 3 is even better IMO. It has cool effects and action scenes while tasm does not.

Saying the raimi trilogy Is shit is hilarious to me. How easy we forget

OwenWilsonsNose
OwenWilsonsNose - 6/19/2013, 3:23 PM
Spiderman 2 was the only good film out of Ramis trilogy. Spiderman 1 felt like a high budget episode of Power Rangers. TASM is not as good as 2, but better than 1 or 3 for sure.
TheWolverine08

@Braniac3000 Agreed. It'll be good if The Wolverine and Thor: The Dark World can get love from both critics and fans.

James Franco, a truly articulate stoner if there ever was one.

TheMaster2011, you don't seem to realize that to actors its not just a few movies, the spider-man franchise was a fairly big chunk of his life. For you what would be a 2 hour film is a year and a half of work for him.
So when asked on the topic of superhero films, it would just be stupid for spider-man not to come to mind at all

Spiderman trilogy is second to TDK trilogy it's the second best reviewed CBM trilogy right now so I wouldn't call that " shit". I agree no body would be upset if TASM never existed but it is in existence and its been out for almost a year. Now we just look forward to what's next. I agree with @jollem Franco wasn't being snobbish or taking hits at TASM he was being more sincere, he was taking shots at Sony not TASM

"you're wrong about the movie as per usual, Mark"

No, I'm not. That part where I say it's arguable that it didn't improve on anything is the part you can disagree with, but it's an undeniable FACT that those movies were very similar. Watch one, then watch the other.

"while arguably not really improving on any aspects."

i'll "argue" this.

i don't think the improvements will be seen until ASM2, 3 and 4. what i think they did was set-up a universe where all the heroes and villains can spawn from the same OSCORP lab/technology/genetics that the lizard and the spider came from. anyone who has seen "spectacular" knows what i'm talking about.

I dont agree that the most fans hated IM3 in fact it's mostly people on this website. It go an A form cinema score which is polled by the fans. I personally thought it was just ok but to say most fans hated is a stretch

@brainiac unfortunately the wolvirine is probably going to be

Loved by crtics= fans hate it

Simply becasue it's made by fox and it's shit no matter what according to most people. It could be the best movie in the world but since from the begging it was " shit " it will be shit till the end. Thor could be the worst film of all time but it will be loved by fans becasue it looked good and it will bend to their expectations no matter what becasue they see what they wanna see

Sp2> tasm> sp1(3 NEVER happened 3 never happened) Pretty confident this new Spider-man series is going to end on a better note than the last trilogy did.I'm a fan of Franco but dude's gotta get over it like geeze lol your character died the exact same way your father died difference was yours was from an underdeveloped character in a shitty film. Not even going to get on about the sandman crap and uncle ben! But hey opinions opinions. On another note man of steel was cool I enjoyed it but it definitely has some major problems to iron out 7.5/10
