DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY Blu-ray Set Packaging & Artwork Revealed

We still don't have a set release date (we know it'll be sometime towards the end of this year) for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy blu-ray box set, but after the jump you can check out the first glimpse at the packaging, bonus toy vehicles, and awesome new villain artwork..

Bonus content is still unknown, but the set will apparently be comprised of six Blu-ray discs and three DVDs, along with models of each of the vehicles used by Batman across the three movies, and some very cool new artwork for Scarecrow, Joker and Bane. As soon as we have any more info on The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition we'll update

TonyChu - 6/26/2013, 3:55 PM
Damn I already bought the first trilogy set with the art book already.
Gambit10 - 6/26/2013, 3:57 PM
I got the gifted boxed set version and I'm fine with it. I'm a fan of Batman but not a fan of these little tidbits they include in those collector's edition or whatever they call them. Nice art covers though.
dellamorte1872 - 6/26/2013, 4:01 PM

KNIGHT3000 - 6/26/2013, 4:02 PM
pistolero82- Why wouldn't you count BLADE? We should count MATRIX as well for great trilogy with an end
marvel72 - 6/26/2013, 4:04 PM
best comic book movie trilogy

1st the dark knight trilogy
2nd spider-man trilogy
3rd iron man trilogy
4th x-men trilogy
5th blade trilogy

the dark knight trilogy is the best until the avengers trilogy is complete.
MrMartinMarvel - 6/26/2013, 4:06 PM
I bet Captain America will be a contender for best trilogy.
xfan320 - 6/26/2013, 4:06 PM
That image of Bane looks weird..

Is it a picture of bane INSIDE of Bane??

Huh?
Jollem - 6/26/2013, 4:06 PM

ATrueHero1987 - 6/26/2013, 4:09 PM

Flickmybean - 6/26/2013, 4:11 PM
Nice toys but yawn!!!!
Xandera - 6/26/2013, 4:12 PM
Even though I did not care for TDKR, I am tempted to buy this... have to see a price tag...
BillyBatson1000 - 6/26/2013, 4:15 PM
"Where did he get those wonderful toys?" (Gee, he got them free with 2 great films and a coaster.)
BIGBMH - 6/26/2013, 4:15 PM
TDKR came out last year. How are there already 2 different trilogy blu-ray sets?
aRandomSinisterClone - 6/26/2013, 4:17 PM
weak bonus items. i found all the batmobiles at Target for 2 bucks each. i have like 10 of them, and they look way better. Hot Wheelz i think, from $10 bucks down to $2. Hope the art book is worth it. Prolly gonna be around $75. So glas i got them at bestbuy in steel cases for $10 each.
MightyZeus - 6/26/2013, 4:18 PM
Cool. I'd be more interested in the artwork rather than the toys.
Mego - 6/26/2013, 4:22 PM
Though I was not happy with TDKR I would rate the trilogy in a tie with Raimi's Spider-Man.

As for the other trilogies like it or not The 1st 3 Donner Superman films as a trilogy are stronger than the 1st 3 Iron Man because only IM#1 was good. 2 was bad and 3 was a hot mess.

Kick and scream about my comment if you like but know this: A trilogy with only one great movie cannot be better than a trilogy with 2 great movies.

Best CBM trilogies

1-2 TDK and Raimi's Spider-Man

3 Superman 1-3

4. Iron Man

5. X-Men

I expect Cap and Thor to eventually overtake Iron Man as a trilogy. Webb's Spider-Man are in the Fantastic Four range of quality and are not even in the game.
youknowmyname - 6/26/2013, 4:22 PM

GodzillaKart - 6/26/2013, 4:36 PM
Best CBM Trilogy: IM Trilogy, but IM2 was a weak link. We really have not gotten a CBM trilogy that was fantastic the whole was through.

Azrael725 - 6/26/2013, 4:37 PM
I'm so glad i waited to get this! yes!
kisama - 6/26/2013, 4:39 PM
I don't really care for nolans batman films but neato
PeterDarker - 6/26/2013, 4:40 PM
Can't wait to cop this...who wants my TDKR disc? I won't be needing it.
PenditaMarah - 6/26/2013, 4:40 PM
What,godzillafartass?
Gimme a break,bud.you're a joke.
harley2011 - 6/26/2013, 4:42 PM
Do not really care about Batman begins, but it needs a new transfer. The transfer of the dark Knight rises, was perfect.
VIRILEMAN - 6/26/2013, 4:45 PM
It's such a shame. This would have been the best trilogy outside of Lord of the Rings if part three wasn't such a crap trip. The Dark Knight Rises was the WORST comicbook movie of all time. At least Batman and Robin knew it sucked. TDKR was pretentious AND sucked.
TheFox - 6/26/2013, 4:50 PM
Oh, HELLS yes!!!

I just hope they have a version of this without all the pointless extras-- the booklet, the toys, etc. I don't want to spend a bajillion buck on a bunch of crap I don't care about-- I just want those six glorious Blu-Ray discs, which would presumably be filled with ALL NEW bonus features, 'cause otherwise, why release yet another box set?

...

Damn it, there BETTER be new special features on that sucker. At the very least a feature-length documentary on the making of the trilogy... You owe us THAT much for short-changing the Dark Knight Blu-Ray on good special feature, Warner Bros.!

... Well, anyway, if it's got the kind of features that a name like "Ultimate Collector's Edition" implies, I'll be all over this like white on rice.

ekrolo2 - 6/26/2013, 4:52 PM
Im probably gotta get blasted for this but I really like TDKR, sure its the weakest of all the Nolan movies but I still think its pretty damn good, would have been better if it was split into 2 films so everything could be properly explained and all the ideas could be fully explored but what can you do.
