Josh Brolin Looks Set To Do Bad Things With A Hammer In New OLDBOY Still

First it was a trigger happy Sofia Vergara, and now a hammer-happy Josh Brolin -- obviously the characters in today's movie stills need a time out. Take a look at Brolin about to reenact an infamous scene from the original Oldboy after the jump..

OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an illusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.

Oldboy hits theaters November 27th, 2013.

TheOneAboveAll - 8/8/2013, 10:00 AM
I hope they do that scene justice, it is not only considered one of the best moments in cinema but also one of the greatest fight scenes ever.
JettJagguarrr - 8/8/2013, 10:00 AM

the original oldboy is awesome, great film
Godzillafart - 8/8/2013, 10:20 AM
The original Oldboy is one of the best (very violent) action/revenge movies ever made. Check it out before you check out the Brolin version.
KeefNCookies - 8/8/2013, 10:20 AM
@Danbojohnj
Yes, if you want to be disturbed and enticed simultaneously. The original is pure platinum.

I dont know if I'm necessarily excited for this movie, but I am curious to see it when its on DVD. It's hard to be too anxious as I've seen the original but so far, I dont dislike what I see :)

LoudNoises - 8/8/2013, 10:41 AM
Batman... Wolverine... Punisher. Brolin just has that tough guy face.
LoudNoises - 8/8/2013, 10:49 AM
Too old? Batman should be older. His biggest advantage over Superman is that he is older, wiser and smarter.
ODSTmaster - 8/8/2013, 11:06 AM
he is way to old I to play batman i think in the NEW52 he is in his early 30s

The hammer scene in the original oldboy is insane, l have to admit l don't remember much of the movie as l watched it years ago but the hammer scenes l still remember.

Anyonw who have not seen it make sure you watch it before you see brolin take.

Think l will have to check it out again myself.
exe - 8/8/2013, 11:31 AM
This is actually looking good. I watch anything with Brolin in it. Such a badass actor.
Arrowhead77 - 8/8/2013, 11:42 AM
I will admit he has the tuffguy look, but he is too old to be a believable Batman. He would have been great 10 or 15 years ago.
superbatspiderman - 8/8/2013, 11:48 AM
I definitely think this will be good. I hope this movie is as violent as the original.
supermarioworldE - 8/8/2013, 11:48 AM

TheBlackNerd - 8/8/2013, 1:41 PM
Josh Brolin & Nick Nolte
sameoldthing - 8/8/2013, 1:47 PM
Oldboy (Brolin) will do gruesome stuff with that hammer.
Driver (Gosling) didn't do squat with his hammer...that movie had potential but failed.

Seems people mention Brolin for older Bats & Gosling for younger Bats & when you get right to it age doesn't matter..Brolin seems much more fitting as an ass-kicking Batman.
bluedude - 8/8/2013, 2:44 PM
