It'll probably be Pat Oswald for Lex knowing WB/DC.

Cosmic book news was the site that first started this, and that's how you know this news is utter bullshit (as of right now, at least). Even the rollingstones site picked up that rumor while almost every other GOOD site (this one, joblo, aint it cool, etc) stayed as far away from those rumors as possible. Cranston would probably be awesome in the role, but I feel like he's too obvious. They'll probably pick someone else.

On top of looking nothing like Lex Luthor, Cranston is far too old for the part. He'd be near 60 by the time Mos 2 comes out.

Actually Mark Strong was the one who said "Watch this space," Bryan Cranston just told WB to give him a call.

But these reports are incredibly ridiculous. People are seriously believing them! This is what I call FANCASTS GONE WILD! WB seriously needs to come out soon and announce the new Lex cuz I'm tired of these rumors.

Cranston as Lex would just be horrible. I love him in Breaking Bad but he is no Lex.

this could be breakthrough role for him (i'm talking about movies not tv) but I doubt he will get it. Gotta feeling WB will want someone younger to play the role (his 57 right now). I also think that Luthor's casting announcement will be pretty big surprise. It could be totally out of the box type of casting. Like someone we never thought off.

Gordon all the way, too old to be Lex for this movie. Billy Zane is my pick. I know alot of people are going for Mark Strong but i can't see him as the charming Lex that runs for President, his look comes off as more of a pure evil Lex and he looks like a pencil neck to me. Zane has a more intimidating presence, has that charming smile with that underlying sense of evil to him.

He's perfect for LEX!
I want him so badly to be Lex & yes it's a fan casting but he's a fvcking phenomenal actor & can play a transitional role for a jealous but nice guy / businessman to a jealous maniac!!

He's gona be so great, I sure hope he becomes LEX!
I'll love him as Gordon too but he looks so like Gary Oldman then!

I think the more interesting news is that they want Matt as Aquaman.

I myself think there is better choices out there for Aquaman. I am not saying Matt is bad he is a great actor but I thought Mark Valley or Kevin McKidd would have been interesting picks for Arthur.

Jason Patric for Lex Luthor. I would happily settle for Billy Zane but Cranston, as outstanding of an actor as he is, is too old. Maybe he can play Luthor's dad a la Smallville...
