All the editorials trying to win that cash are all about Batman and Nolan.

It's over, Ror. I loved it as much as the next guy and I think you could stretch the believability to the point where it can live in MoS continuity but I want a new take on Batman.

Please leave the Nolan Universe out of this movie, it is time to move forward with a real DCU. We want powers etc....

^^^ because the Nolan trilogy has such passionate fans. I think they need to just forget about that. If they keep it that means Bane still dies like a b&*&* and Bruce's legs are weak and his body is breaking down. I want the Batman from the comics. I want the bad a$$ ninja flippin detective that is the epitome of what a human can be. I just feel in ALL the previous film incarnations of bats he has been watered down.

I don't like the idea of a full reboot so quickly after the last movie either, but Nolan is done with his batman universe. We gotta move on.

leave Nolans Movies alone. All they need to do is keep quality of movie making. They see how it can be done good so try not go backwards.

They should allude to it. Maybe make a reference to the effect of: "The Joker is just a mad dog." See what I did there?

Affleck should have the freedom to craft his own unique take on Batman that doesn't have to honor anything Bale did with it.

Bale and Nolan walked away from Batman, maybe the fans of their version of the character should follow that example too.

No more Nolan Universe. Anything similar would just seem like it is copying it.

We having a Power User beef here? ;P

Either way I don't care. Affleck is Batman, new universe, love Nolan and TDKT but let's move on.

The only thing from nolanverse the future movies should have is it's serious tone. That's the 1 thing I feel marvel movies are starting to go overboard with and with Superman/aliens now in the picture, the whole keep it reality based has been thrown out the window(which is good).
malreyn
malreyn - 9/4/2013, 9:37 AM
Disagree.

The Nolan films showed a fairly limited Batman. It worked for two out of three movies (IMO) within the context of those stories/that universe. Even implying that there's a connection between the previous and next puts a ball and chain around the ankle of the next Batman.

An article over adding a single line to a film to tie it into the Nolanverse? Mmmmkay....I guess that wasn't worth the read. :-p

No sorry it just wouldn't make sense to me. The Nolan Batverse just wouldn't fit into the Man Of Steel universe. But fine even if you wanted to go that route, Batman struggled to take down Bane, how could he even remotely stack up to this version of Superman. Even now I kind of question it seeing how Snyder did the fights in MoS which were great, but the kryptonian speed already makes it a lopsided miss-match.

Yeah, because WB casting Affleck is exactly how we are going to get a ninja flipping Batman from the comics. Exactly why they blew off Scott Adkins, the only one who could.

Yea instead of casting an actor, let's cast a stunt man...

I guess Jer3miah has never heard of stunt doubles or extensive combat and gymnastic training on the part of the lead actors before the movie gets filmed...
