Sherlock Holmes can tell a software designer by his tie and an airline pilot by his thumb. He has a unique analytical brain and, unlike anyone else in the world, he staves off boredom by solving crimes. When a chance encounter brings soldier John Watson into Sherlock's life, it's apparent the two men couldn't be more different, but Sherlock's intellect coupled with John's pragmatism soon forge an unbreakable alliance. In season three, Sherlock returns but will things ever be the same again?

@ForceOfLegend

I think just on its own, yes it's brilliant. The two leads are perfect, and perfect together. But aside from that, the writers and clearly huge Holmes fans. There's so many brilliant touches. It's not simply a modern day translation, but something done with immense care and affection for the original material.

@m0th3r
It really is worth the wait, as long as it's great quality I don't mind waiting at all even with the cliffhangers.

It's actually a problem I have with a lot of American shows, they'd be so much better if seasons were shorter, look at the walking dead which to me has felt as though it's been stretched going in a roundabout way to get to the same place.

One of my fav shows.

@ReeferInferno Agree....it seems like many 20-24 episode shows are mostly filler with 10-12 core episodes a season...

Walking Dead suffers from ratings issues..not bad ratings, but good ratings seem to drive show into standby mode. Almost afraid of resolving plotlines out of fear of the change...

I like TWD, but i seem to remember Lost feeling the same way..
