Senior editor Stephen Wacker hinted at the possibility in an
interview last year, but a well placed source has confirmed to us that Marvel do indeed have plans for a new animated series focusing on the
Guardians Of The Galaxy. Word is that Marvel were undecided on whether to go with
GOTG or yet another
Spider-Man cartoon, and although the latter may also happen, it seems they've settled on the Guardians for now. We don't have any info on when we can expect to see it etc, but it's a safe bet that like the other current Marvel animated shows, it will air on Disney XD. You can see the likes of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista bring the team to live-action life when
Guardians Of The Galaxy hits theaters August 1, 2014.
