NBC’s four-hour miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby,” is an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin. Zoe Saldana will play Rosemary, the iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child.

Acclaimed director Agnieszka Holland, who has been nominated for both an Oscar (Europa, Europa) and an Emmy Award (Treme), will direct. Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Winchell) and James Wong (American Horror Story) wrote the screenplay. Production is underway in Paris, where the story is now set.

Reni, yes, this is the very first article posted to the site about a movie that isn't based on a comic book. EVER!
blackandyellow - 3/13/2014, 10:20 PM
Roman Polanski is a [frick]ing scumbag. And [frick] France for not extraditing him.
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 3/13/2014, 10:26 PM
Zoe Saldana sucks ass, she always plays love interest to a white boy, she has NOTHING on Kerry Washington, Paula Patton or Regina KING!!!!
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 3/13/2014, 10:28 PM
She is terrible as Uhura too
Satanistpanther - 3/13/2014, 10:29 PM

Here's something I constantly see and have yet to understand after being on this site for as long as I have. Why does someone's past or impending association of any kind or degree with a comic book movie at point in history automatically make every shit they take or commercial they do article-worthy on a COMIC BOOK SITE.

I'm still waiting for the "SPIDERMAN's Joe "Flash Thompson" Manganiello new spokesperson in GNC commercial" article to be posted any day now.

the latest in the trend of horror movie shows following Bates Motel, Hannibal and the From Dusk Till Dawn show that started this week. I read MTV is goanna have a Scream show too. I'd rather see one about Pinhead and the Cenobites or a young Freddy Kruger than this.

I'd like a first look at her baby hole.

McGee - 3/13/2014, 11:11 PM

JatevinM - 3/13/2014, 11:16 PM
What I don't understand is if you don't want to read about something that is not comic book related why the [frick] are y'all opening the articles? Its other articles on this site to peak your interest and draw your fancy.
LittleDanglyThing - 3/13/2014, 11:23 PM
What I don't understand is the need to remake movies into TV shows.
First I see a From Dusk Til Dawn commercial(Samantha Esteban is a baddie doe) and now this? Ugh.
TheRealistStarLord - 3/13/2014, 11:57 PM
This is a comic book related, cuz Zoe is Uhura, Neytiri and Gamora combined! She is basically a Sci-fi Goddess!
Ceejay - 3/14/2014, 12:27 AM
Great, now all the idiot bigots who think interracial relationships are anti-Christian and spawn half-breed abominations will point to this film to confirm their twisted perspective and further brainwash their children.

Thanks Zoe you skinny, long necked no booty idiot. For once you should have not thought about the paycheck and just said NO!
SuperCat - 3/14/2014, 12:41 AM
Was just watching the original movie yesterday at work. I'll be checking this one out.
ManCalledSting - 3/14/2014, 3:36 AM

The devil went down to Georgia because he wanted to bang Columbiana.

Fire on the mountain, run boys run!
Uhura turned green and got a big ass gun!!
RorMachine - 3/14/2014, 5:08 AM
Yes Ceejay, Zoe should have allowed that to factor into her decision before accepting this role..because we should all keep the reactions of lunatics and scumbags in mind before we do anything..that's not like letting them win at all!!

Yutz - 3/14/2014, 5:11 AM

LoudLon - 3/14/2014, 7:07 AM
The original was a great flick based on a great novel (almost word-for-word, in fact). Don't much care for remakes, but Saldana's involvement has piqued my curiosity.

No idea what this is doing on a comic book movie site, though...

They pussied out and didn't go for a full black relationship. -_-
