We've heard whispers of a Black Widow solo outing for a while ow, and Marvel head Kevin Feige even went so far as to say that some development has been done. But how would Scarlet Johannsson feel about stepping into the S.H.I.E.L.D. costume to headline her own movie as the character? While talking to Digital Spy she certainly seems enthusiastic, but thinks it'll ultimately come down to how badly audiences want to see it.

“The great thing about working with Marvel is that they are really into the audience participation. If the audience wants to see a Black Widow movie then that conversation can certainly be opened up. I love playing that character, she has a wonderful depth and really interesting grey area. She has no moral compass. These are all things that I think would be interesting to explore for her own spin-off.”

What do you guys think? Would you like a solo Widow movie? Maybe even a Hawkeye team up? Sound off below.

Please Marvel do not waste your resources on a Black Widow film. Other characters deserve their own films before Black Widow, but if a BW film does happen I will watch it.

Will it be on TNT?
xaiyasak - 3/14/2014, 8:13 AM

We already have Agents of Shield. Her character background can be explored in the show, or any upcoming MARVEL movies, AOU perhaps?

If they can make it work, then I don't mind. Whatever, don't listen to me. I don't know shit.

I'm sure if they did make it it'd be pretty good, but there are SO many characters more deserving of films than Black Widow.
Doopie - 3/14/2014, 8:22 AM
i'd rather they spent the money on a character we haven't seen panther for instance
ProfessorX - 3/14/2014, 8:26 AM
Feige seemed keen on the idea, unfortunately... If any female character gets a solo movie then it should be Ms. Marvel IMO.
ProfessorX - 3/14/2014, 8:28 AM
Black Widow has already appeared in 3 movies (IM 2, TA, CA:TWS), and will be in a 4th (AOU). They really need to introduce new female characters.

I hope they do make one. She would be the 007 of the MCU. Haters can keep seething. And miss me with that "oh, she has no powers we need Ms. Marvel" bull crap.

The only solo I wanna see ScarJo in is...
