Will Arnett Talks TMNT & THE LEGO MOVIE Sequel

The Arrested Development actor's "Batman" was easily a highlight of The LEGO movie, and in the following video interview he's asked if that character might be the focus of the sequel. He also comments on that first official TMNT still, and how he got involved with the project.

Yesterday we got our first official (though low quality) look at an image from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. It featured Megan Fox as a startled looking April O'Neil alongside an even more startled looking Will Arnett as her sidekick Vernon Fenwick. So what was going on in the pic? Well, when quizzed about it by Collider Arnett doesn't actually seem very sure..though he thinks it was taken "at the Turtles lair". He goes on to speak about the movie's director Jonathan Liebsman and how he came on board the project in the first place. He's then asked about his involvement with the sequel to The LEGO Movie and whether his hilarious Batman parody character could wind up being the focus. Arnett declines to comment, but if you watch the vid below, you'll notice that his expression may suggest Collider were on to something!

The first trailer for TMNT will be with us on Thursday.

He's the only reason I'm still interested in this film.

I wouldn't want Batman to be the focus of the sequel. Emmet was the heart and soul of the first movie.

@earzmundo Watch Arrested Development then quietly rethink the absurdity of that post.

LEGO was pretty bad...
Great animation, though.

He hasn't always talked like that. Is he trying to like appear all masculine. I remember him in RV and he didn't sound like this at all. You can tell he's putting on a voice

I hope more of the DC characters are in the next movie. I would even love to see part of the movie going into the world of the DC characters. I would love to see Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Atom, Plastic Man & Swamp Thing. I think showing more DC characters would be a great way for WB to get the general public to like these characters. So in the future they can be in live action form.
