Caliber loses John Woo

Director John Woo will not be directing the comic book adaptation.
High "Caliber" Action Director, John Woo, told MTV Splash Page that he is not directing the big-screen adation of Caliber: First Canon of Justice from Radical Publishing.

Here's what he has to say:
"It didn't work out because it's not good timing for me to take on the movie,"

Caliber is a resetting of the Arthurian legend, instead of it's knights in the medieval age it has its cowboys in the western American frontier. The title refers to the magical sidearm that fires thunder in the name of justice.

The concept seems interesting, It's a new take and it really would have benefitted if they had John Woo. Woo really does make wonderful "Gun Ballets".

-access out. Godspeed!

I've only seen bits and pieces of this story. I haven't had the chance to read any issues, but I think it's an Amazing idea for a comic & for a movie. I was a big fan of the tales of King Arthur, plus I've started to like westerns more and more over the years. This could be an EPIC action film.
@DarkAvengers- Welcome back, Mutha F@#$a! LOL

Ahhhhh I get it. Caliber the gun equals Excalibur the sword. Cool.

...I might check this comic out.

Woo focusing too much on the action, rather than the characters. His departure is probably good news.
