Christian Gossett's RED STAR is being penned by Michael Sands

Hoping it would become a movie adaptation soon.
Michael Sands one of the writer for the upcoming action extravaganza 'Ninja Assassin' talks about another project he wants to become a film. This is Christian Gossett's Red Star. He has name dropped director Timur Bekmambetov as a another fellow working with him on this sci-fi project. Sands mentioned that he has finished several drafts and hoping that it would become a movie.

He also said that budget is always a factor when writing a sci-fi project because you don't know whether it would be $50 Million or $200 Million, and sometimes those number interchange in the middle of the project.

Here's an official wiki:
The Red Star is a graphic novel by Christian Gossett set in a sci-fi/fantasy world described by Gossett as "Mythic [Soviet] Russia". The "Lands of The Red Star" were inspired by both Russian folklore and military history. The series is thus heavily reminiscent of a post-World War II Soviet Russia mixing technology and sorcery.

I've actually seen the comics before and one thing I could tell you is that it looks elegant.

If the Director of Wanted,Timur Bekmambetov,is making this I think this could be cool.

But I doubt it'd be faithful to the comic, since Wanted had nothing to do with the comic
(Although It did incorporate Wesleys orgin story...sort of)
