PARADISE LOST's January Shoot Postponed; Budget To Be Reworked

It seems as if Alex Proyas's ambitious adaptation of Milton's epic tale, which was due to shoot in Australia in January, has run into some problems. Click for the details..

The good news is, it seems the movie is still going to happen - at some point. Bad news is it won't shoot in January as was planned and there has been no time frame given for a new shoot, so we could theoretically be waiting a very long time to see Bradley Cooper's Lucifer have a little falling out with God.

Deadline report..

Legendary Pictures has halted plans to begin production early next year on Paradise Lost..

..I’m told that the film isn’t scrapped; rather, Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will continue developing it and will rework a budget that had passed the $120 million mark. The picture has crewed up for an Australia shoot and the talent and below the line is learning about the postponement right now.

A reworked budget on a movie of this scale is not really unusual so there is most likely nothing to worry about. But it would have been nice to get production going as planned because this is one none comic book based (although there have been adaptations) that I am very excited about.
