It would seem a solo comic series for the "Ragin Cajun" is on its way this August. Marvel have released the below teaser..

Along with..

Find out more Sunday, April 15 at the Next Big Thing panel, 11 AM Central during C2E2 2012.

And that's all we have to go on. Gambit has been a very popular member of the X-Men for many years, but he has taken a bit of back seat from any major story arcs lately. He recently joined Wolverine, Iceman, Northstar, Karma, Cecilia Reyes and Warbird in Astonishing X-Men however, so maybe this spin off (if that's what it will be) ties into that somehow. There is also speculation, given the black background and style of the title font, that this could be a mini-series that leads to the death of the character. Expect some more info to leak out before Sunday anyway.
