Last night we finally got to see the highly anticipated third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. This one offered up a lot more in the way of plot and dialogue, as well as some great action. There was also quite a melancholy vibe to it, bolstered by a nice, spine tingling score. We had a few new glimpses of Tom Hardy's Bane, but this trailer definitely put the focus more on Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, and for the first time, the mysterious John Blake played by Joseph Gordon Levitt.

Personally I loved it, but some fans seemed a little disappointed that the final trailer didn't deliver a bit more spectacle, and could have maybe used one more "wow" moment to really heighten anticipation. What do you think?

Wait a minute are you kidding me? Mixed reactions? How could you possibly find anything wrong with a trailer that is, in my opinion, the best trailer of the year so far? People where upset that they didn't see more? Are you serious? What, do you want to watch the whole movie? This trailer was the perfect tease for what we can expect and it set up the plot and characters amazingly well. And don't even get me started on the brilliant sound design. Fans needed a wow moment? The bridges blowing up, theres you're wow moment. Or that tag at the end with the Batwing. Come on guys, I'm shocked this trailer is supposedly getting mixed reactions.

The last option on the poll says it all. Any negative reaction to that trailer is down to a bunch of Marvel fanboys who are scared TDKR will be better than the Avengers.

The Avengers is great.

TDKR will be great.

"Which one is be better" will be down to personal opinion.

Please just deal with it.

I thought it was fantastic. Not mind-blowingly epic like The Avengers trailers, but definitely got me pumped. Bane sounds much better too.

I think Nolan is purposely keeping it bland for security purposes. This movie is going to be huge! I'd bet Nolan doesn't want to give us the slightest clue as to how his story will end. I'm sure he wants to rape our minds to the extend of us having to pick up the pieces of our brain as we leave. I thought the trailer was deep and straight to the point. I can't wait!

It didn't have that jaw dropping moment but I think they're saving it all for the movie which I'm cool with. I've seen too much of the Avengers.

Ummm...sh!t trailer... sorry, no marvelite here, but that pretty much sucked.

Not trollin, but every trailer for this has sucked so far..WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FIRST teaser for TDKR (that one was WAY better)

Sure it'll be good, but really nolan...ZzZzzz

it was perfect as you can get. Loved the slow build up. Very atmospheric and incredibly photographed. TDK trailer wasn't filled with spectacle either and look how that turned out. Nolan really does know what he's doing.

I liked it! At first I wasn't sure how they were going to have the "Batwing", or whatever that thing is move because it didn't seem fluid in the other trailer, but after this I can't [frick]ing wait!!!

Eh it was alright, didn't make me excited. I guess at this juncture knowing the Nolan Batman's no longer matter towards a larger DCU Movie verse I just don't care as much as I should. I'll be excited when they start working on the reboot. Since that's right around the corner.

The way i see it is.. Unlike the avengers trailer which gave some of the WOW moments away like the hulk catching the falling iron man...this on the other hand is perfect not giving any key moments away so I LOVED IT

Not hating on The Avengers in any was, was an EPIC MOVIE

So you wanted a trailer with fast cuts and filled to the brim with money shots? A trailer with without what I just described is not at all boring. The way the trailer started with minimal sound design and how it just built and built was SO exciting! And besides, you don't want a trailer filled with money shots because then they are all spoiled for when you actually go to see the movie!

trailer was mind blowingly awesome imo. i have to admit this is my most anticipated movie of the year. and that wont change. trailer did exactly what it was supposed to. make us ask more questions. make us debate. make wonder whats next. it wasnt just a bing bang boom wow look at those explosions type of trailer. it was much better than that. it was a steady build up leading to shear awesomeness making us wanting more.

"...and could have maybe used one more "wow" moment to really heighten anticipation..."

I watched this trailer multiple times, trying in vain to see what I was missing. It teased some interesting tidbits, but it failed to heighten my anticipation, which has taken several hard hits in the lead up to TDKR. I am afraid the 'wow' moments are here in this trailer, and that disappoints me greatly. Just my opinion, loved TDK and BB (faults and all), seeing the midnight Avengers this Thursday.

I loved it. Real sombre mood. Like it more than the last trailer. As a comic book collector and reader for nearly thirty years now I feel really spoiled this year. Avengers was absolutely mind blowing and this is beginning to feel that wat too. Dont know about spidey yet but I'm definitely gonna see it. But anyway this is just the comedown I need after avengers. They both seem like their gonna be the best of the genre but at two different ends of the spectrum.
