SPOILER: Will Lucius Fox Survive THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?

It has long been rumored that Bruce Wayne's friend and gadget-guy Lucius would be a causality of Chris Nolan's final Bat-flick. Now in an interview with The Wrap, Morgan Freeman gives a surprisingly direct answer when asked about his character's possible demise..

Well, I guess Morgan Freeman says what he wants! Seemingly not taking a page from the "you'll have to wait and see" response handbook, in an ind-depth interview with The Wrap the veteran actor is quite happy to reveal whether or not his character Lucius Fox makes it to the end of The Dark Knight Rises. Obviously, big SPOILER ahead..

One of the big questions in my little universe: Will your character, Lucius Fox, make it out of the "Dark Knight Rises" alive?

Yeah.

How does it feel to be done with the Batman series?

I don't see it so much as being done with it. It's the end of a chapter, that's all.

There you have it. Despite quite a few rumors to the contrary, Lucius Fox will not be one of the characters to buy the farm in Christopher Nolan's Batman threequel. His second response also suggests that he might have hopes to return to the franchise someday, despite Nolan making it very clear it will be his last one.
