Michelle Pfeiffer Says She Would "Probably" Play CATWOMAN Again

The actress - who donned a very tight outfit to play the character in Tim Burton's Batman Returns - says she would be open to reprising the role in a future movie, if asked..

Anne Hathaway is set to take on the role of Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's final Bat-flick, The Dark Knight Rises. But of course that won't be the first time we will have seen the feline femme fatale up on the screen. The character was portrayed by quite a few actresses over the years, most memorably by Michelle Pfeiffer in Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Her take on Selina Kyle/Catwoman left a lot of people hot under the collar, and aside from a few silly deviations regarding her origins, was a fairly spot on take on the popular Batman villain. Now Pfeiffer - still a knockout at 54 - has revealed to E! UK that she would actually be up for reprising the role at some point..



"Probably, if they asked me. It's unlikely that they're going to ask me."


Well, if it ever did happen at least they might be able to work on making her outfit a bit more comfortable. When describing the experience of wearing her "vacuum-packed" Catwoman costume Pfeiffer said - "It was probably really unhealthy and it would literally just start to squeeze my skin. I was only allowed to wear it for so many hours.". But of course she is right, it IS very unlikely that she would ever be asked back to play a role that has since been taken over by another actress, even when the inevitable reboot roles around. But, just imagine if they ever got a live action Dark Knight Returns movie up and running, who better to play a more mature Selina Kyle?

least relevant bit of "news" i've ever heard. she will not play Catwoman again. it just isn't going to happen. that'd be like chris evans saying "ya, i'll give the human torch another shot". who cares?

Dark Knight Returns movie would just be too much. Even a really shitty watered down and abridged version would be just too damn exciting for my old bag of bones to take.

I am not part of the masses where I praise Phfifer as Catwoman she was good but it wasn't anything special. If they made a Dark Knight Rises movie I would probably want a brand new cast.

Tommy Lee Jones would be good if he took it seriously. He played it, in his words, "like a cartoon" in Forever, but he's an awesome actor. He was the shit in Heaven and Earth. At least he'd give a better performance than that Aaron Ekhart could ever give no matter how old he lives.

Pfeiffer's Catwoman is still one of my favourite movie performances ever. I don't think she'll ever play Catwoman again though, except maybe in a animated film or in some The Dark Knight Returns kind of film. But she's still awesome!

I think Hathaway and Pfeiffer are both hot and great actresses. Pfeiffer's Catwoman suit wasn't that good, but I think it definitely beats Nolan's Catwoman suit. At least Pfeiffer's overall look was better.

@DukeAcureds, In TDKR though the whole point is that Selina isn't the beauty she once was anymore. She got old, fat, and is longing for the good ol'days again. She's like a stripper who's past her expiration date.

@filmsfan Connery did come back to play James Bond in Never Say Never. And Roger Moore had a Bond movie come out that same year. So hey you never know we might get an old crazy Catwoman movie and we may not but it could happen!

I'd love to have seen her as like, Anne Hathaway's mother in The Dark Knight Rises.

It's what I loved about First Class, it gave small references and cameos that were pretty awesome.

@ronnie42, Which Catwoman are you talking about? There's been about a hundred different looks for Catwoman over the years. Nolan choose a modernized version of the Julie Neumar look because that's what he felt was best for his interpretation, and fanboys just need to get over it.
