Trailers And Poster For New HEAVY METAL TV Series Hit

Here we have 2 teaser trailers and a poster for a new show based on the classic French graphic novels by legendary comic book artist Jean ‘Moebius’ Giraud. Check out Rutger Hauer, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, Kelly Brook and co in action..

I wasn't even aware that this show was in development! Heavy Metal - released here under its original French title, Métal Hurlant Chronicles - was my first exposure to any type of real sci-fi/fantasy stories as a kid, not to mention a mild bit of comic book erotica. There was already a 1981 animated feature which adapted several of the magazine's serials, but this will be the first live action adaptation. Check out these teasers, a poster and some stills (mainly featuring Kelly Brook you'll be happy to hear) from the new series, which will premiere in France in November, then move onto the UK and Germany. No release date for the US yet..

i read some of the comic books, and played the game, and if it keeps the atmosphere it could be actually nice.

Production looks very budgeted, Kelly Brook can't even get roles in her native country but the fact she'll strip naked for a decent meal means there's gonna be the obligatory Heavy Metal nudity in this show so I'm gonna check it out soon as it hits the net!

OMG!!

This tv series is going to suck a$$, like really bad...

Funny thing is I used to talk about how if I had the money I would produce a live action movie based on the 1981 animated film. I would have used popular rock music from both old and current, to really make the movie exciting, and I would have used the producers of 300 to help make the movie along with Peter Jackson for his experience with Lord of the Rings. But this shiznet is a sorry excuse of that movie...

Oh Yeah! Heavy Metal is just outlandish pulp entertainment so as long as there is sci-fi material with super sexy women,I will watch it all!

Who cares about great acting for this show..boobs rule!

In the background of one of those pics looks like a turtle wearing a cloak..since Kevin Eastman,co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,publishes Heavy Metal magazine in the U.S. maybe he demanded MORE TURTLES!

I think it looks better than alot of people seem to think. The big question is about the story. If it's interesting, not contrived or monotonous, I'm all for it.

The trailer for "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate"" I saw before the Heavy Metal trailer looked amazing! As for the two Heavy Metal trailers, the thing that stood out the most was that it looked like I was watching a dream sequence inside the mind of Black Dynamite.

Looks like a way too cheap and grounded on a soundstage 300/Spartacus clone. Not the outta-space sci-fi/fantasy extravaganza a live action Heavy Metal adaptation should be.
