I can't decide if this looks like it'll turn out to be superb or a bit of a mess. One thing is for sure, visually it's pretty flawless. If The Wachowskis do end up directing Justice League, we can at the very least be certain of eye-gasms.

Cloud Atlas" explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

Cloud Atlas was also co-written and directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run, The International) and in addition to Hanks, Weaving and Berry, stars Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D'Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant. The movie hits theaters October 26th.

Trailer presents the movie well. Looks very good both acting wise and visually. That is two great trailers for Cloud Atlas, I will definitely be checking out Cloud Atlas in theaters.

The Matrix was a great movie once again story-wise and visually. The 2 that followed were great visually. V for Vendetta was a good story a bit long but another good visual movie. I know Speed Racer was too cheesy but the VFX were sick. The Wachowski's also produced Ninja Assassin which was good example of there work even though it was directed by James McTeigue who also worked with them on the Matrix trilogy.

Just saying with that resume of work I back the Wachwski's for Justice League.
RorMachine - 9/6/2012, 6:28 AM
Remember they didn't actually direct V For Vendetta either, that was McTeigue also. But yeah they certainly know what they are doing visually..and the first Matrix was a masterpiece. Still a bit worried though.. about this, and the possibility of them directing JL.
NightWingNut - 9/6/2012, 6:29 AM
Well said HireMe, I couldn't agree more.
bobevanz - 9/6/2012, 6:30 AM

GingerBird - 9/6/2012, 6:32 AM
This really looks like it will bomb.
RunDTC - 9/6/2012, 6:36 AM
I hope WB doesn't hire the Wachowski Brothers to do Justice League. there are alot better choices out there.
PapaMidnite - 9/6/2012, 6:44 AM
Seems like a huge soap opera! Too corny and messy, i don't know... but i smell a flop.
SpoonWielder - 9/6/2012, 6:48 AM
I still have no idea what this movie is about.
thewonderer - 9/6/2012, 6:52 AM
Brad Bird needs to helm justice league. End of story, stop the pointless runnings and select him already
Andrew1 - 9/6/2012, 6:55 AM
"As an aside, Dark City was a far superior movie to the Matrix which was a scene for scene copy."

This is true, unless you have seen 'The Matrix'. Or 'Dark City'. Or any film ever.

I've heard from a friend of a friend who works for the Wachowski's that when they heard about the Justice League rumors that they laughed and have no interst.....hoping I'm wrong but wanted to let fellow CBMers know.
valeriesghost - 9/6/2012, 7:06 AM

Wingding - 9/6/2012, 7:15 AM

amazing book!
Highball - 9/6/2012, 7:18 AM
That's a very good trio of directors! I really like Tom Tykwer's Perfume and the music he composes himself for his movies.
Might actually be interesting to have him along for the Justice League movie.

@Stigmartyr

I for one, and my group of friends also here.

Feel free to have your opinions on Nolans Batman. But to say he's not a real director? Hes one of the best modern directors today next to Fincher, Tarintino, Spielburg, etc.

He's revolutionizing the film industry with his IMAX pushes and very creative ideas.

Inception is one of the most unique movies in the past decade. Looper looks to be the next one, albeit by Rian Johnson of course.

So honestly man, don't say that
thunderforce - 9/6/2012, 7:38 AM
shit movie .
GodzillaKart - 9/6/2012, 7:44 AM
Looks ambitious. Hope they can pull it off.
RorMachine - 9/6/2012, 7:46 AM
Stigmartyr = Intruder, OR he's gone back over all of his old quotes and recycled them. One or the other.
Maximillion - 9/6/2012, 7:50 AM

Maximus101 - 9/6/2012, 7:57 AM

Maximus101 - 9/6/2012, 8:49 AM

GUNSMITH - 9/6/2012, 8:52 AM
LOOKS LIKE A DEEP FILM, WITH ANIME FLAVOR. BUT YOU KNOW I HONESTLY WISH THEY DID A DRAGONBALL FILM OR A ANIME TURNED LIVE ACTION LIKE VAMPIRE HUNTER D OR SOMETHING EPIC IN SCALE.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 9/6/2012, 8:53 AM
Looks weird as shit but sweet.
Joeyfxx - 9/6/2012, 8:58 AM

GUNSMITH - 9/6/2012, 8:59 AM
THE ONLY THING I HATED FROM HALLE WAS CATWOMAN, HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF THE CHARACTER..BUT SHE DID LOOK HOT IN IT.
Ha1frican - 9/6/2012, 9:22 AM
After Matrix 2 and 3, and Speed Racer i cant believe people are not only still watcing thir films but want them for JLA. Peter Jackson and David Yates are much better choices... hell anyone else is a much better choice
lntrn8 - 9/6/2012, 9:50 AM
craaazy

This movie has such amazing potential to be something we all haven't seen before on many different levels. In an era of remakes, reboots, unoriginal films that have to be based on toys, comics, TV shows from the '80's, it's refreshing to see filmmakers take a chance. Obviously, it's based on a book, but hate it or not, it was amazing to see someone take a chance on an 'unfilmable story' like Snyder did with Watchmen. This movie looks to be drawing on incredible themes that cover all people, seems to have great visuals to blow our mind(SFX and traditional, beautiful shots), and a lot of great talent. The question is whether or not it can be pulled off and understood without people jumping the gun. It seems like a pretty intense, emotional, and intellectual flick that could definitely be thought provoking to say the least. If anything, it's something we haven't seen in a while and you have to give them credit for that. As for JL, that's another story...
MovieTheaterLad - 9/6/2012, 10:07 AM
I don't understand why people are bashing Speed Racer.

That movie was ridiculously fun and had a lot of heart.

I still think that John Goodman using his pro wrestling moves to spin a ninja over his head and throw him out of a window over a cliff is one of the best things I've ever scene in a movie.

And the final race was absolutely breathtaking.
NiteSoul69 - 9/6/2012, 10:09 AM
this may very well be a masterpiece, but i will prob enjoy The Hobbit more:)
ComicBookSon - 9/6/2012, 10:09 AM
Stigmartyr
Shut the hell up. You make Marvel Fans looks like shit.
Maximus101 - 9/6/2012, 10:22 AM
@comicbookson I know he is an idiot. He reminds me of that marvelite kid that got banned a few weeks back which wouldn't surprise me if it was him.

@stigmartyr someone brought Nolan up in a good way saying he is a visionary director and such, your the one that started talking shit about Nolan and batman so grow up and stop, you do it everyday now and it's ridiculous.
PersonaPostOvo - 9/6/2012, 10:42 AM
Jim Sturgess for Ant-Man

Matthew Fox for Lex Luthor!
jaysin420 - 9/6/2012, 10:44 AM
I think the Matrix sequels get way too much crap from people, especially Reloaded. That movie has the best action scenes I have ever seen, still to this day.

(Neo vs the Agents, the car chase with Morpheus, Trinity and the Ghost twins, Neo vs the Merovingian's crew, Neo vs the Smiths)

It'd be pretty incredible seeing the members of the Justice League in those types of fight scenes.
AsianVersionOfET - 9/6/2012, 10:47 AM
The other trailer is so much better, it's like it's not even the same movie.
hueyfreeman - 9/6/2012, 10:47 AM
Its a movie about nothing... how do we know when its over?
Maximus101 - 9/6/2012, 10:54 AM
I agree, the matrix reloaded was amazing! That hole scene where neo fights the frenchmens guys then the car chase scene on the highway was unbelievable. First two were fantastic but the third was meh. This movie looks good though I'll be watching it.
