COMICS: Cover Of CAPTAIN AMERICA #2 Reveals A New Look For Steve Rogers

CBR have an exclusive reveal of John Romita Jr.'s cover for Captain America #2 by Rick Remender, and it features Steve Rogers holding a child's hand with his Cap mask off, exposing his new, long, flowing goldi-locks!..

Says Remender of the new series..

"He's taking down super villains and saving the world and in the midst of all of this, Steve Rogers the person gets lost in the shuffle. He is so exhausted but driven by this sense of duty that when this situation arises and things move forward, he's going to have a very big reaction. I'll deal with the fallout from things like 'Avengers Vs. X-Men' and how it affects Cap in 'Uncanny Avengers' where you're also getting the return of the Red Skull. This is going to be a very different thing and won't really deal with those ramifications so much. He's got his mind on other stuff in this adventure."

Meh, John Romita Jr.'s art doesn't do anything for me, I think he could be the next Rob Liefield.

This reminds me of Walking Dead covers with Cap looking like Rick and the kid looking like Carl.

Captain America clearly isn't on Earth people and based on his hair, he's been gone for a long time.

What? Are you sure they didn't get Liefeld confused with Jr? Oh, wait, there's feet, so they definitely didn't get them confused. Wow. This cover = steaming pile of velociraptor shit.

Kind of cool to see a different look for a special future version of cap.

Often read about Marvel needing to try something new.

Well, this is something new.

It's probably just a temporary thing..still, aside from the art, I think it might work as a new look. Hippie-Cap:)

I like it, the long hair on Cap is an interesting choice though.

@thanos83 so if people don't like something or complain, then they're "faggots"?! Grow up.

Anyway, Haven't read a CA comic in a long time(I'll catch up on Ed Brubaker's run sometime next year), but with Rick Remender & JRJR on this title, I will most certainly check this out.

The long hair is ok. I prefere the short hair. Captain America is another comic book series I will suscribe to later this year.

It's not the hair, but...the head looks off, to me, and that causes his whole appearance to look odd. I like John Romita, Jr., but that clearly isn't his best. If it's done more properly, I believe it would look good. The hair shouldn't be any problem, IMO.

Yeah, looks way too much like Thor. I'm curious to see how he'll look in the book, but I hate it based on this first look.

Blasphemy!!!! Cap would never let his hair grow out like that even if he had to cut it with a shard of glass.

He only works well with street-level heroes. Ask him to do something on a bigger-scale, and he does downhill. I' reading it for Remander, but Romita gives me no hope.

So Ka-Zar is the new Captain America!? Meh, I prefer the loincloth.

In other news, I can't possibly drop this title HARDER from my pull list. And why is Romita drawing that stupid Fear Itself scar on shield when NO OTHER ARTIST has acknowledged that scar SINCE Fear Itself?
