Trailer For TARZAN 3D Hits

You might have forgotten this even existed, but a trailer has dropped for Constatin films' mo-cap take on the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs hero, starring Kellan Lutz(Twilight, A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Spencer Locke(Resident Evil: Afterlife) as Tarzan and Jane..

Thoughts? I'm in a good mood today so I won't comment! The movie is directed by Reinhard Klooss(Animals United), and written by Yoni Brenner (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs). There is no set release date yet.

StuckInPanels - 10/5/2012, 9:02 AM
wow....so bad that its a foreign trailer too.
theInvincibleMexiMan - 10/5/2012, 9:04 AM
wow, the animation looks spectacular.
BruceLeroy - 10/5/2012, 9:07 AM
Booty butt cheeks.
toco89 - 10/5/2012, 9:07 AM
I liked the Tarzan from the 90's, would be cool if they could incorporate the branch grinding from that movie lol.
CrowPirate1 - 10/5/2012, 9:13 AM
LOL. How tall was the freakin tree? It took him well over 5 years to climb it, by the looks of how much he aged by the time he got to the top. and if that was supposed to excite, just the king of the jungle, um, climbing a tree... I'd hate to see the other clips.

SEE Tarzan fight ... a worm. Watch him open.. a banana!!!

devil - 10/5/2012, 9:16 AM
there sould do a live acton tarzan
PaulRom - 10/5/2012, 9:18 AM
Loved the music, and the scenery looks nice, but otherwise this doesn't look special. I'll take Disney's Tarzan over this any day.
blvdnoise - 10/5/2012, 9:18 AM
Wow, this looks terrible.
SUPERMAN2013 - 10/5/2012, 9:19 AM
They copied rise of the planet of the apes abit there didn't they...him ageing as he is climbing, his face looks stupid,I would much rather see the 90's version in cinema again
SUPERMAN2013 - 10/5/2012, 9:20 AM
And they should of done a live action that's epic
Maia87 - 10/5/2012, 9:22 AM
I waited sooo long for a new live-action Tarzan movie...But WTF is that crap? It looks like something made 15 years ago.
PantherX - 10/5/2012, 9:23 AM
Wait.. they plan on releasing this to the general public?
thejon93rd - 10/5/2012, 9:25 AM
Tarzan looks like a moron. Doesn't even help his ape friends get across with him. What a jerk!

Besides that, this might have potential. It's already got an Avatar-vibe oozing off of it, so if anything the CGI and 3D effects will be off-the-charts (hopefully, for the film's sake of course). I like it so far, the only thing that makes me iffy about it is the talent involved (the two leads were involved in some of Hollywood's weakest shlock efforts ever). Other than that, I'm in.
hunterelf - 10/5/2012, 9:27 AM
i agree with grif
Scabsallover - 10/5/2012, 9:31 AM
Boring trailer with great visuals. A man can scale a tree in 5 seconds so I think it looks very life-like. I won't see it, but it does look well animated.
Scabsallover - 10/5/2012, 9:31 AM
Can't*
ronnie42 - 10/5/2012, 9:33 AM
WTF that was barely anything like Tarzan. There was nothing emotional about it. It reminded me of the live action film at the start then it just turned to horrible cgi. This might have been ok for a game barely but this doesn't interest remotely.

MrChuff - 10/5/2012, 9:40 AM
Well I had Tool's "Reflection" playing while I watched this which made it way more epic but still...
Nasty.
The mo-cap looked okay but the animation doesnt even look like a final render. And no matter what I will always have a soft spot for "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes".

"ZAT is your Muzzer, ZAT is your Fazzer!"
KNIGHT3000 - 10/5/2012, 9:41 AM
Come on! Its common knowledge that Tarzan is supposed to have dreads, anything else is a commercial for Suave
KNIGHT3000 - 10/5/2012, 9:43 AM
MrChuff

Word! Best Tarzan ever, "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes".
"Ani mal! Ani mal! Ani mal! ANIMAL!"
HelaGood - 10/5/2012, 9:54 AM
mo-cap and it still looks this awful??? jesus, how do the filmmakers not see how bad their product is???
jerry23 - 10/5/2012, 9:56 AM
looks like a really good....school project. I wouldn't pay anything to see this
Supes17 - 10/5/2012, 10:09 AM
This looks really shitty.........
And I also love the fact that he's clean shaven at the end. No facial hair whatsoever:P
UltimateSpidey - 10/5/2012, 10:11 AM
wow, that was pure shit
TheLight - 10/5/2012, 10:31 AM
@UltimateSpidey,

Couldn't agree more. At least the Disney version made him appear like a grown man. Some odd number of years climbing a tree, and he still has a child's face on a man's body. Nothing beats "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the apes". Btw, why is it that he never grew any facial hair?
Ancar - 10/5/2012, 10:41 AM
HOnestly, looks like shitte derived from 1999's Disney animation.

And why every ape has to look to the horizon from the top of a tree?

LAME!!!
sKeemAn - 10/5/2012, 10:41 AM
Looks like a video game, or Straight to dvd
valeriesghost - 10/5/2012, 10:44 AM
Yeah, that shit looks like direct to dvd from 2002
novaprime - 10/5/2012, 10:46 AM
Live Action Please i wanted good Tarzan movie, i remember like 7 years ago Benicio del Toro was going to play Him & Guillermo delToro was Going to Direct ittt!!" & it Never Happen!!!
UltimaRex - 10/5/2012, 10:50 AM
You see grif? If you call everything "shit" then when something actually shit does come along you have nowhere to go.
SeaSerpentine - 10/5/2012, 10:58 AM
Should have been live action.
patriautism - 10/5/2012, 11:00 AM
Looks like this is the next Delgo.
greenlanternsF - 10/5/2012, 11:10 AM
HA ^^@rex true on the grif comment, he apparently abused his SH!T comment so much even he got tired of it!! HA priceless
greenlanternsF - 10/5/2012, 11:10 AM
im sure grif will be there to watch it, since he didn't say sh!t movie LOL
JorLBola - 10/5/2012, 11:16 AM
So... Why not a real human? this looks cheap
BillyBatson1000 - 10/5/2012, 11:24 AM
So much work to such little effect. I'd rather see a 3D version of the Disney Tarzan.
TheLight - 10/5/2012, 11:25 AM
Rumor has it, they're already planning a new live-action Tarzan film similar to "Greystoke". Warner Bros. is planning for it around 2014 or 2015.
inkslinger616 - 10/5/2012, 11:29 AM
Terrible!!! But my kids will probably make me watch it.
MrChuff - 10/5/2012, 11:36 AM
If Warner Bros went balls-deep on a full PERIOD adaptation on a grand scale of Tarzan that was as honest and brutal as it needs to be from a director on a par with Del Toro then my ass would be in the seat for sure.

And while people seem to be offering up so much love for "Greystoke" (which pleasantly surprised me as I thought I was alone in that) the boner-inducing moment of Greystoke for me?

When the scream of a child slowly turns into the roar of an adult.
Quality.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 10/5/2012, 12:23 PM
They shouldn't even try. Nothing will beat the Disney movie.
Morpheus82 - 10/5/2012, 12:56 PM
What the hell is this shit? CGI effects look like something Disney or Warner Brothers could have done much better.
AlexDeLarge87 - 10/5/2012, 1:06 PM
Meh

rather see live action version. Which i heard is coming. Hopefully its badass... And i mean BADASS.
There better be Lost City, Leopard Men, Queen La and Nikolas Rokoff.

AlexDeLarge87 - 10/5/2012, 1:08 PM
I could imagine Henry Cavill as Tarzan. That dude looks sick with his Superman muscles.
DudeGuyMan - 10/5/2012, 1:20 PM
I wouldn't discount this movie. It has mondo potential.
Jameskid00 - 10/5/2012, 1:56 PM
i have seen early 2000 video game graphics better than this movie's
lokibane2012 - 10/5/2012, 2:44 PM
This pebble looks more alive than Tarzan does

spider1489 - 10/5/2012, 4:30 PM
wack!!!
Superheromovies2000 - 10/5/2012, 4:52 PM
There is only one Tarzan movie and that's the one with Bo Derek from the 80's!! I'm not saying, I'm just saying!!
