Says Waid of his plans for the character..

"It should come as little surprise that I have an affinity for all costumed crimefighters no matter if their adventures are 'period pieces' or not--heroism is heroism regardless of whatever year's on the calendar. With this Green Hornet project, which I've been percolating on for more than ten years, I'm able to meld my love of the Hornet's legacy with a little bit of Citizen Kane and a lot of Lawrence of Arabia to tell a story never before told--the dark years of the Hornet's later career and the one mistake he makes that nearly costs him everything."

That's not promo art for Waid's series. That is artwork from Matt Wagner's Green Hornet that's been out for the last two or three years.

Interresting, but that artwork is from Green Hornet Year One by Matt Wagner and Aaron Campbell.

Didn't Kevin Smith write only the first ten issues of Green Hornet?

The cover art is fantastic! The new series sounds interesting.

I hope this prompts a movie studio to do a Green Hornet movie reboot.

I heard so many bad things about the Seth Rogen one, I haven't even bothered to watch it.

those are all from Green Hornet Year one that was out last year and ended after 12 issues. Im assuming that who ever created this article was jsut using those images for purposs of how he explained the new series. I would love to see Grren Hornet Year one would come back. It was great!

@GUNSMITH this is the way the masked originally looked. I think its way cooler and potentially more menacing than a domino mask
