The first 4 eps of the BSG prequel web-series - which focuses on a young William Adama's rookie missions aboard the Battlestar - have been pretty damn good, but is the quality maintained by the next two? In these episodes, Adama and his crew are marooned on an ice-planet..

This highly anticipated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, gifted fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle as much as Adama craves its onset. Lili Bordán (Silent Witness) also stars.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome will continue its run of 10 7-12 minute episodes on Machinima Prime, and then in 2013 the prequel will air as a two hour movie on Syfy before hitting DVD & Blu-ray.

BSG was one of the best sci-fi series ever ( reimagined, not the campy 70s original). Caprica was different but still a good addition in terms of backstory and dealt with some relevant question (extremism, humanity vs biology, etc). Finally saw all the webisodes today for Blood and Chrome... And it's pretty good. Considering the budget they had, and the fact that it's carved in 10 minutes episodes, it's awesome. Lot of potential here, no fraking idea why syfy wouldn't pick this up as an ongoing series. Hope enough people see this online and the numbers tell the execs there is a market for quality sci-fi that make you think (so far it's more action oriented that BSG, but given the format and the time period, that's fair enough).
