“Mad Max Fury Road” sees Mad Max (Hardy) caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the imperator Furiosa (Theron). A battle erupts on the road in front of them over the course of the film as they attempt to push the rig to safer terrain.

Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nathan Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Megan Gale.

Hope it comes out on time this year, I'm excited for it.

This movie looks pretty good so far but it probably won't be as good as Beyond Thunderdome. That one is a masterpiece.

I think The Road Warrior is the best one, but they are all great. I think Hardy will make for an awesome Max too so looking forward to Fury Road.

Mad Max was good but was also really low budget. And Kennedy/Miller were basically rookies.

Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior was superior to Mad Max by far.

Mad Max 3 Byron Kennedy died in a helicopter crash while searching for locations for the film. The film possibly went of course as a result.
"Mad Max" became HAPPY MAX as he was now content with the post apocalyptic World and he smiled quite often in the film. The film was aimed at kids and tried to go mainstream with Tina Turner as an Un-Villain.
Max and all the World's inhabitants seemed unbothered by the predicament of living in a wasteland.
The new vehicles were created to sell toys and some Mad Max 3 toys were sold in Australia.
"Mad Max 3" pissed on "Mad Max 1+2", it pissed on Byron Kennedy, and it pissed on fans of the series, though some fans like to be pissed on and dont mind.

Byron Kennedy was the true genius behind the series. George Miller sold it out and became a "Boy" for WB.

Didn't know this was coming out. Hardy is in it which is good. He's $$ in the bank.

Awesome. I love every Mad Max film, and I can't wait for this one.

I keep wondering what's taking them so long. I mean they first announced this movie almost a decade ago. Ever since then I have been waiting. It's like the Hannibal TV series. It's supposedly coming, but never gets here.

Ahh another "REMAKE." They are so creative these days...I will NOT go see any remakes or ones with Grandpa Arnold SchwartzaHistory!
pro346 - 1/21/2013, 6:24 PM
@fearless no this is a sequel not a remake.

@monkeyballs3 Great analogy. Gary Kurtz may not have created Star Wars but he gave it an integrity that it lost when Lucas chose toys over a man who was his friend and only tried to help him when he told Lucas Episode 6 was not going in the right direction. That was probably the last time anyone challenged Emperor Lucas.

Its also lame that this new Mad Max film will rip off the end sequence of Road Warrior just as Mad Max 3 did. So now there will be 4 films and 3 with the same battle.
The Armored/spiked diesel is a huge obvious rip off.

Can't wait! Beyond Thunderdome would have been great if they didn't go for the peter pan middle part. The rest of the movie is great.

I need more coverage on this. Is the new Max the little blond kid with the boomerang? Is he one of the "weird" kids from the downed flight? Or, is he the blond helicopter guy's kid? The latter works for me = would seem more inteligent.

MM2 was the best.

It had Wes and Humongous- the Iyotola of rocking roller

This looks good -I think it is set between MM1 and MM2

That couldnt film it in Australia -apparently our deserts dont look enuff like a wasteland! Namibia must be drier than a Nunn's nassy!!
AlexDeLarge87 - 1/22/2013, 12:10 AM
Looks nice.

Hope it stays faithful to the nature of Mad Max 1 and 2.
KingEmperor - 1/22/2013, 12:17 AM

Mel Gibson would be great going crazy on da director...
niknik - 1/22/2013, 1:31 AM
Mel Gibson IS Mad Max. Just can't see anyone else trying. It's not Mad Max to me. I'll pass.
JacksonVegaIII - 1/22/2013, 7:27 AM
Hardys great he'll pull this off, I hope they go darker and bleaker... think 'the road'
Geektality - 1/22/2013, 2:42 PM
