Heh.

In all seriousness, this is really, REALLY awesome news, the greatest franchise of all time is getting the Blu-Ray treatment, about darn time.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2 is a great film by the way, now we just need a release for The Return of Godzilla Also, if anyone reading this comment hasn't seen Final Wars, go to it, it's even better than The Dark Knight.

Again, this is great news, nice box-art.

It would be nice if they released all of the Godzilla films along with the other Kaiju movies from TOHO on BLU-Ray. Rodan, Mothra, etc to go along with Godzilla. Over 30 movies of monster stomping, man in suit fun!!!!!

Teabag my man, Final Wars is the definition of cinematic story telling. Though none agree, I will happily defend my stance.

That man with the sweet mustache in Final Wars was MMA legend Don Frye,Tea. He fought a lot in Japan and, much like Bob Sapp, became a cult-hero to the Japanese.I myself cannot wait for Destroy All Monsters to get this Blu-Ray treatment.

I've been on the fence about getting a Blu-Ray player. I think this is going to push me over the edge.

@SCURVYDOG619: "Destroy All Monsters" is being released on Blu-Ray on October 25th. Check Amazon.

son of a bitch. I just bought a dvd version of it because I didn't think Criterion would ever do it. I love Criterion DVD/Blu Rays, they are the best company that puts out older movies.

This may be the thing that finally breaks me and makes me buy a Blu-Ray player. I love a lot of the monster movies, but this is the one that started it all.

Bropous: MST3K (or Rifftrax- same guys, same basic MO)can make almost any movie better. Haven't seen their take on the monster movies in a while, but that was absolute greatness.
