Possibly confirming new villains for The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise, the latest Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro feature characters such as Carnage, Arachne, and more, with an arm to piece together the Ultimates Green Goblin. Take it as always with a grain of salt!

Here, we get to see the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends 2014 packaging for the very first time, via the solicitation photos that have been sent out to Asian retailers…

If these action figures are based on characters from the movie we could see Arachne, Toxin, Abe Jenkins(?) Black Cat, Carnage, Beetle, and the Superior Spider-Man. But most tie-in toys add additional characters that never appear in the film, so don't expect them.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Yeah I'm not sure whether I want Carnage or not. I don't think they can get him right on-screen without sacrificing the usual rating...

I don't know, everyone of those that haven't been confirmed yet look too much like the comics. They will probably change their costumes a little bit. I can't see this being true. The characters may be in the series, but I don't know about the costumes.

This doesn't reveal anything. Iron Man 3's Marvel Legends line had 2 movie figures and the rest were comic book ones.

Only Electro and Spidey will look like that and actually appear in the film.

Hmmmm....That packaging does display the Amazing Spider-man 2 logo and it definitely looks like Electro's in that pack but so's Goblin-Hulk and yet the poster from the film features a more classic looking Goblin. A grain of salt taken.

I wouldn't read to much into, all the Spider-Man movie toys and video games have featured characters that were never in the movies. I'm curious now though, does SONY own the rights to Spider-Woman? Is that why she hasn't appeared in the MCU?

I still have my Robin figure from the Batman Returns toy line, to tell me that CBM toy lines ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS include comic based and non-"film canon" figures in them.

They're just toys, when the first pics of the toys were revealed awhile back everyone thought the goblin from the movie was going to be hulk goblin. Well he is going to be classic gobby in the movie according too the poster

@crashrendar, @Curmudgeon But guess who was in the next two films? I remember a Captain America: The First Avenger toy from Marvel Legends with Crossbones. He wasn't in the film. But whose character will appear in the Sequel? His. So what I'm saying is, we may not see them in Number 2, but possibly in sequels, or spin-offs.

Next you'll be telling us that Spider-Man will be using a bazooka-like "Web Launcher" in the film, when one of the toys will inevitably have one.

When Spider-man 3 came out there were toys of the Lizard, Carnage, Kraven and many others but they were not in the movie. This is just Marvel coming out with merchandise beause a new movie is coming out it doesn't mean these characters are going to be in the movie.

This site is so desperate for hits. Did you see U.S. Agent in Captain America: The First Avenger? How about Skrull warriors in The Avengers? Because they were certainly in the toyline, so surely that means they're in the movie, right?

Come on CBM, you can do better than this.

I said Nothing that we "will" see them, I said in the headline, teaser, article, and previous comment, that it is a possibility.

@Tyrus
Sony does not own the TV rights for Spider-Man, I believe Marvel does. Would love to see Marvel do a Spider-Man TV show just as a way of sticking it to Sony. I believe it's the same way with FOX and the X-Men. They own the rights for the movies, but not TV.

Usually half the villains that they put in their toy collections never make it into film. I remember that with the first Iron Man they had a Titanium Man toy come out and everyone thought he'd be the villain in the sequel. Whatever happened to that rumor that Jim Carrey was gonna play Carnage? Was that ever debunked?
