I love the Albuquerque & Kirkham covers (the bottom 2). And I just can't get into Lee Bermejo's style (3rd one) here or anywhere.

So Carrie is still young in this? I haven't caught up too much on the news for this, so I could just not understand what's going on, but is this taking place closely after TDKR? Also when does this come out, how frequently and how many issues are in the series?

Also, [frick] YES, FRANK MILLER AND BRIAN AZZRELELO!!!!!!!!!

@BatmanHeisenberg
It's an eight issue monthly miniseries set at some point after The Dark Knight Strikes Again. Carrie became Catgirl in that story, so she's definitely not the young Robin seen in TDKR. These covers are just inspired by that book and the characters within it.

Oh my Doom.

Those covers made me orgasm.
Why don't they just do a big celebration of The Dark Knight Returns, by having numerous writers and artists doing jam issues?
Why Dark Knight III? It's not Dark Knight if it's written by Azzarello and drawn by Kubert.

I really don't even mind that this is set in the Dark Knight Universe. But why put a three on it? Why try to pass it off as a trilogy? This is not the third Dark Knight. Not unless it's written and drawn exclusively by Miller.

I feel almost honor-bound to buy all of these, though.
But it still takes the piss that they call it Dark Knight III.

WTF??
There are five good artists here all subduing their own artistic styles to ape Frank Miller's s**t? (-I wonder if this was a DC directive?)
And the last cover- aren't we all a little tired of Batman grimacing, covered in blood?? Nothing stylish here- this is just pandering to the lowest common denominator. Nothing but pure, unadulterated violence. Not action, violence.
There is a difference.

pointman@ But Cyclops is the leader of the Mutants.
I think this was intentional, design-wise. And I think it might also be intentional that Bane's followers, in The Dark Knight Rises wore red neckerchiefs. Bane had elements of the Mutant Leader, so it stands to reason that his gang would wear an item of clothing that just so happens to denote a mutant in the alternate Marvel future that Bishop is from.

I'm liking the talent they're getting on this series. Hopefully the interior art is just as good. Even if this series is a complete miss, it will at least be better than TDKSA.
