Following on from yesterday's announcement of a new Teen Titans series, DC has revealed that the Suicide Squad will be returning on July 9th. Written by Sean Ryan, New Suicide Squad #1 will feature a completely revamped line-up of Joker's Daughter, Deathstroke and Black Manta leading Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller and Deadshot, and sees the team head off to Russia. Artist Jeremy Roberts, winner of last year's controversial Harley Quinn artist hunt, says that "it's going to be a great jumping-on point for new readers, and long time fans of this series are going to be very happy!" Below is Roberts' cover for the first issue. What are your thoughts on the relaunch?

Is it a continuation of the previous run? I loved The first New 52 Suicide Squad.

So DC is taking the Marvel approach. Cancelling books and then relaunching them back at number one with higher price tags.

P.S- I hate Harley Quinn's new look.

But the thing is, I'm not mad about this one. I'm actually really, really excited. The creative team sounds great (I've been a fan of Roberts for years) and the line-up is really cool. And, knowing DC, this will probably only be $2.99.

Exactly, he's been a popular part of every entertainment medium now (with the exception of film). Arrow, Injustice, Arkham Origins, he's even had several toys including the 12" tall Kotobukiya statue. Not to mention the number of other titles that have used him just to boost their own popularity (Team 7, The Green Team etc).
Deathstroke could not be anymore marketable right now.
