After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion - and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become... The Flash.

God, do you guys realize adults have relationships and relationship problems? Every time there is a relationship in a CW show doesn't make it teeny bopper. Barry has feelings for his step sister, so what? Nolan's Batman was in love with a childhood friend, Tony Stark with his assistant, Thor with a woman who ran over him, twice, and I could keep going... Superheroes deserve some loving too.

I'm all for relationships.
You can't cheat if you're not in one!
themidnightking - 6/17/2014, 1:04 PM
It's the CW, over time it will become a teeny-bopper romance. I won't be surprised if there's a love triangle somewhere along the way.
Gusto - 6/17/2014, 1:05 PM
I just googled it.
I stand corrected.
Shit's not right, but it does exist.
AreTudaEDub - 6/17/2014, 1:05 PM
For real...why cast a black girl if you are making her look, sound and act like a white girl? Not being racist but really the white wash is horrible.
themidnightking - 6/17/2014, 1:07 PM
That does sound good, I want to try making that now.
maninfinesuit - 6/17/2014, 1:07 PM
It's on The CW. There will be CW teen stuff. Just be glad that the Flash is getting a television show, and everything Flash about it looks awesome. I'll just be over here brushing up...

themidnightking - 6/17/2014, 1:08 PM
One word: Tokenism
Gusto - 6/17/2014, 1:10 PM

Wtf? HOW exactly should a black girl act? Please do tell.
RextheKing - 6/17/2014, 1:17 PM
@midnight as long as Barry is at the tip of the triangle with two different girls it won't be too bad. A love triangle with a guy into two girls is usually less annoying and teeny bopper than a girl into two guys.
RextheKing - 6/17/2014, 1:19 PM
@tuda Just because its stereotypical for Blacks, such as myself, to behave a certain way doesn't mean they always will.
yonny616 - 6/17/2014, 1:19 PM
@Sofo Obviously, EDub hasn't been outside the hood. lmao
themidnightking - 6/17/2014, 1:20 PM

Let me know how it turns out

@ Gusto -
KallarkKent - 6/17/2014, 1:28 PM
I am looking forward to Flash but Hopefully they'll keep the CW nonsense to a minimum.
Nomis - 6/17/2014, 1:31 PM
@ AreTudaEDub - Don't fool yourself man, 'cause you're not fooling anyone else, you are being racist!
AreTudaEDub - 6/17/2014, 1:35 PM
No I'm black myself....not particularly "hood" but i am black. She is seriously white washed for CW. Look at a show like being "Being Mary Jane" and see how generally black professionals are as far as mannerism. A year. Ago they posted an audition of a girl who was in talks for the role of Iris. She was perfect. I'm not a black panther just saying why push for diversity if you are essentially not using someone believe to the demographic your pandering too.
AreTudaEDub - 6/17/2014, 1:38 PM
Or look at the Cosby show Clair Huxtable. Not some stereotypically loud black woman.
Nomis - 6/17/2014, 1:43 PM
@ AreTudaEDub - Then my young brother you just don't get it.

Don't confine who we are into one small cutter box that only fit in a limited description. That not who we are nor have every been.

it's our diversity of character(s)within the race and various way of being portrayed in the media that should convey our culture from all different standpoint. for good or bad.

Be it showing someone who come from the "hood" and can't let go of that upbringing, to those who decide that culture do not represent where they are coming from and become what they want to be, to those who come from the suburbs and that's all they know and reflect that part of us.

Never confine or limit how we should be portrayed in the media or it will only limited us to stereotypes.

antoineflemming - 6/17/2014, 1:54 PM
yeah. Am I the only one who's not excited for this show?
soforizo - 6/17/2014, 1:54 PM
