Yet another TV spot for Peter Jackson's highly anticipated first installment in his Hobbit trilogy, An Unexpected Journey, has debuted. Featuring more snippets of new footage, hit the jump to watch.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever ... Gollum. Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths ofguile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum's "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities ... A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is set to hit theaters December 14th; The Desolation Of Smaug will arrive December 13th, 2013; There And Back Again is scheduled to be released July 18th, 2014.

I gotta stop watching videos on this site. I am tired of that Savages ad in front of most of the videos you guys are posting.

Can't wait! And yes, the purist in me is a bit bothered by the fact that I haven't seen Bilbo in the green hood that he's specifically given at the start of his adventure (and I'm beginning to doubt we'll see it at all, but I guess it'll just be the same mild irritation I feel, everytime I notice in LoTR, that Glamdring (Gandalf's word) doesn't glow blue in the presence of orks - only Sting does. I tend to think it unlikely Orcrest (Thorin's sword) will glow in this film either since, so far, it seems he might have it from the beginning of the film rather than find it in the goblin cave with the other blades. Still, I do love the film versions of LoTR and am sure to put my minor irks to the side for this as well.

-Sorry if I lost anyone here but they're all minor plot points in the books.
