J.K. Rowling Has Already Completed The Script For The FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM Sequel

Entertainment Weekly's special Comic-Con issue is the gift that just keeps on giving, and now they've released a new photo from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them along with sequel details!

This November, prepare to re-enter J.K. Rowling 's Wizarding World of Harry Potter with the arrival of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will be the first installment in a brand new trilogy of films. Not much is known about the film's plot and/or which direction the trilogy will ultimately head, but wherever it goes, it'll have hordes of Potter fans worldwide rushing into theaters as fast as they can.

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly's extensive coverage of next week's San Diego Comic-Con in their latest issue, we have a few minor details on the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel, courtesy of director David Yates, and it sounds like a gamechanger. According to him, Rowling is way ahead of the curve and has already completed the film's script: “We’ve seen the script for Part 2, for the second movie, which takes the story in a whole new direction – as you should, you don’t want to repeat yourself. The second movie introduces new characters as she builds this part of the Harry Potter universe further. It’s a very interesting development from where we start out. The work is pouring out of her.” If they didn't hadn't piqued your interest before, it's hard to imagine they haven't captured your attention now.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Zero hyped, I'm not a big Harry Potter fan. But I have to admit it was a brilliant idea to cast Eddie Redmayne for this movie. I bet it will sell.

@Cooler @regularmovieguy - Agreed. I was actually really stoked to hear they were making this movie and still want to be excited for it... but everytime I see Eddie Redmayne in the promotions, I lose nearly all interest.

Maybe it's just me. He's talented and seems like a really nice guy but his screen presence really just annoys the crap out of me. I can't quite place it.

I'm glad we're getting more Harry Potter stories. Like Star Wars, I feel like it's a wider world with lots of interesting stories going on at once. And the history seems really exciting, too. I'd love to see a medieval story about the Four Founders of Hogwarts.
