Funny I was talking to my dad and he was telling me he bought MOS bluray! He said it was a great movie and loved the action.......he's 65 years young :)
BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 5:05 PM
I bought the collectors edition! It looks great displayed.
I love and own all three on bluray. I need to pick up Kickass 2, Red 2, and Oblivion to add to my cbm movie collection. I can't wait for Thor The Dark World to come out on bluray.

Man of Steel 5/5
The Wolverine 5/5
Ironman 3.5/5

I own all three CBMs on Blu-Ray. Can't wait to add Thor: TDW in just a month's time.

Man of Steel has a great re-watchable value and I can say the same for The Wolverine. They actually give off hints of continuation not just solidly for the future franchise but for the character as well. Iron Man 3 had hints towards atony's future as well seeing that he'll no longer use his ark reactor, avengers tower will basically become his home and that he still has those probes attached under his skin right?

*They're (Man of Steel and The Wolverine) are also very dramatic and character driven. (same goes for Iron Man 3 but I'm just a sucker for seriously toned movies!) lol

I'm still puzzling which way Mangold will go with Wolverine seeing that the sequel will be placed in between the 2 years when Yukio and Logan were traveling

Man of Steel all day!

Loads of people have said that last year was a really disappointing year for CBMs. Not me, I can genuinely say that I love all three of those movies, 2013 may have actually been one of the best CBM years for me, and all three of those films would make my top 10 CBM list. I think the only year I'd say was better for CBMs was 2008, purely because of The Dark Knight, one of the greatest, most awe inspiring cinematic experiences I've had to this day, and Iron Man was a bonus.
Arrowhead77 - 1/15/2014, 6:52 PM
@ Gusto LOL - that is Black & Yellows favorite movie!!
TheRealRemyLebeau - 1/15/2014, 6:53 PM
Batman begins 2 aka Man of Steel aka transformers: dark of kryptonite. ;)
BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 6:57 PM
@Ac1

They only say that because the Marvel movie were disappointing.
BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 7:01 PM

4 out of 5 great superhero comic book movies in 2013? Sounds like a good year to me!
1. Man of Steel
2. The Wolverine
3. Iron Man 3
4. Kick-Ass 2
5. Thor: The Bland World
BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 7:04 PM
Remy Avangers had more in common with the Transformers Iron Man 3 was a carbon compy of the Pixar The Incredibles and a bit of TDKR................

BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 7:08 PM

Ah Man of Steel I remember that movie, Henry Cavil really knocked that one out of the park.
Indy - 1/15/2014, 7:14 PM
MOS!!!! Blu-ray is great!!
Battabing - 1/15/2014, 7:17 PM
Good for MoS!

I liked The Wolverine (until the third act); loved MoS; hated IM3, Kick Ass 2, and Thor: The Dark World.

That's 40% satisfaction for me. So yeah, I'd say the CBM summer of 2013 gets a failing grade.

CaptainComicBook - 1/15/2014, 7:20 PM
It's pretty obvious why IM3 didn't do that well. Most die hards are waiting to get the Phase 2 box set

Try again.
EvilSuperman - 1/15/2014, 7:23 PM
Oh we have to talk about The Wolverine too? That was disappointing and bland, and that final act was so sad. Almost drives me to drink
JoeMomma29 - 1/15/2014, 7:23 PM
@ BaneSmash

Remy is so embarrassing trying to pretend he can speak Spanish.
BaneSmash - 1/15/2014, 7:24 PM
