Christophe Beck To Score R.I.P.D.

The RED composer has signed on to re-team with director Robert Schwentke on the supernatural action film R.I.P.D., based on a Dark Horse graphic novel and stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.

Film Music Reporter says that composer Christophe Beck - whose recent credits include Tower Heist, Due Date and This Means War - has been hired to score Universal Pictures’ supernatural action comedy R.I.P.D., which is based on Dark Horse Comics/Peter Lenkov's graphic novel of the same name. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke and stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Mary Louise-Parker. Beck has previously worked with Schwentke on another comic book adaptation with 2010's RED.

The story follows a cop (Reynolds) killed in the line of duty and is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest In Peace Department, and then tries to find the man who murdered him (Bacon). Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi (Clash of the Titans) have written the screenplay, while Neil H. Moritz and Mike Richardson are producing the film.

R.I.P.D. is set to hit theaters June 28th, 2013.

Loved him on Buffy. He's made some of the most memorable themes I know of! Great composer!

Christophe Beck did do the Elektra score. the music was alright but the film sucked a$$

Reynolds is very hit or miss for me, but Bridges and Bacon are a no brainer...love those guys

Reynolds may be ok in this, but he was born to play deadpool! BRING ON DEADPOOL!!

Has anybody posting a negative comment on this site heard the music he has scored for this movie (R.I.P.D)or seen a trailer. So before he writes a note, and a trailer is released, Here is a suggestion... don't jump to conclusions but wait and see and just maybe you may enjoy it!!
