KONG: SKULL ISLAND Director Reveals King Kong's Size

At CineEurope in Barcelona, Kong: Skull Island director Jordon Vogt-Roberts revealed just how tall his version of King Kong will be and it's definitely the biggest version of the giant ape to date.

Ever since Godzilla vs Kong was first announced, fans have been wondering just how big the giant ape will be in Legendary and Universal's reboot. In Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005) the beast was measured at 25 feet tall crouching and 50 feet tall standing. That size would hardly prove a challenge for Gareth Edwards Kaiju King, who clocked in at 350 feet tall.

Well, at CineEurope, Jordon Vogt-Roberts revealed that his King Kong will be twice the size of the 2005 version. The mystery now is whether he meant standing on all-fours or on two legs? According to THR, Roberts' exact statement was, "This is going to be the biggest Kong there's ever been. Not 10 foot or 30 foot, but a 100-foot ape."

Godzilla vs Kong is currently slated to his theaters on May 29, 2020. Godzilla 2 is currently slated for release on March 22, 2019. Just last month, it was announced that Gareth Edwards would not be returning to direct the sequel. If rumors are to be believed, he's having a pretty difficult time on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

@TheArkhamKnight - No, he can't. One fire breath shot to the chest and it's over. The only reason King Kong had a chance the last time was because he got struck by lightning and, somehow, lightning makes King Kong stronger. They literally pulled that bulljive out of the air in that movie, because it's Godzilla who gets stronger when struck by lightning not Kong.

@DallasAvenger - gorillas are crazy strong. They're 10x as strong as humans so so I assume it'll be a pretty even fight despite his size
