This article doesn't spoil at all but the pic on main is exactly like when Shane died. Can't believe after all the fuss it happened again. Why is it necessary.

This article is fine though.
KingEmperor - 3/24/2013, 10:03 PM
*single tear*
WinterAvenger - 3/24/2013, 10:07 PM
Still crying ......damn
NateHawk89 - 3/24/2013, 10:09 PM
i'm crying for Daryl. i mean, seriously. i feel so bad for him!
ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:09 PM
When the episode airs NATIONALLY, it can no longer be called a spoiler.

By the way, AMC sent me the video and pics to post at 8:19pm PST. So give your hatred to AMC if you think this is a "spoiler"--which is not.
continuezero - 3/24/2013, 10:11 PM
Agreed, we just think it wouldnt hurt to deal with it the way this article did.
ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:12 PM
You must "love it" Captain. Otherwise, why are you still here complaining?
xizorkatarn - 3/24/2013, 10:17 PM
WOW seriously? Way to spoil it. The giant picture and headline completely ruin it for anyone who didn't get the chance to see it within the past *few hours!*
InterestingMan - 3/24/2013, 10:17 PM
Ha captain got owned by the Big G lol
bbarber2323 - 3/24/2013, 10:23 PM least he has the balls to speak his mind unlike most of the pussies on this site. I mean really, wtf is there to fear? The main admin of a comic site?? Ya,,,,terrifying.

@Captain...I agree completely. Good for you. There is nothing wrong with speaking your mind, and in this case, the truth.
fullspeedahead - 3/24/2013, 10:24 PM
I understand that you can't call something, that has been aired nationally, a spoiler, but you could have at least given people like me a choice! Here we are in Australia, waiting to see the show with bated breath, only to find the image on one of the most important guys on the show as a walker on the homepage.

ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:25 PM
I recognize that my site's popularity is driven by the fans. That is why I give them what they want. I don't believe that "a huge majority of our site's fan's" dislike how I run my site. Rather, I think your opinion is in the minority and that MOST of the vocal critics are simply seeking the attention that they don't get in real life by looking for ways they can feign outrage on a fansite comment section.

Just my opinion though. You are entitled to yours as well.
Durango95 - 3/24/2013, 10:29 PM
What I think is funny is ElMayimbe over at Latino-Review had said weeks ago that this was going to happen and even had a screen shot. He is rarely wrong and yet you [frick]holes bust his balls. I like CBM & LR equally and thats how I keep up on breaking stories. I just think its funny that he was right after some of you assholes were talking shit when he broke it.
ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:29 PM
No offense to our friends outside the U.S., but the market here is so much bigger than everywhere else, it drives what we do. Just sayin'.
bbarber2323 - 3/24/2013, 10:30 PM
Says the guy not on a power trip...
BlackGetsuga3 - 3/24/2013, 10:32 PM
Rooker (on the talking dead)seemed like he was on something just making up random stuff to sound cool, I like him acting like Merle better lol
bbarber2323 - 3/24/2013, 10:33 PM
@Durango...el Morono broke something that was already leaked three hours earlier. So the guy breaks the news on the leak and suddenly he's right?? No. That dude is not always right, therefore he deserved the ball busting he gets. But you just go ahead and keep on blowin him...

@Captain...well, you did just fine sir. Big props to you my friend.
CavEl - 3/24/2013, 10:34 PM
@ Galactus - Technically, we've had comments removed about comics that were released days, weeks, months and even years ago.
Quasimodo - 3/24/2013, 10:34 PM
i guess getting more hits is more important than not spoiling things for the non US fans and even tons of fans in the US? :/
droopy1317 - 3/24/2013, 10:36 PM
While i understand that this episode has already aired hence it not being a "spoiler" and this is your site and all that the fact that you don't care about complaints or about losing a fan, i still want to express my opinion..[frick] you for ruining it.
that is all...
Beandon - 3/24/2013, 10:39 PM
@ComicBookMovie also, even if a movie comes out worldwide, not everyone goes to see it on day one. just like many people record shows and watch them later. point being movie critics and websites don't ruin movies in their reviews. hollywood reporter isn't going to spoil the ending to IM3 an hour after the midnight release just because it's out, so everyone must have seen it

this article is great, I'm glad its up, but i feel like a simple spoiler alert would have been nice for a lot of people
ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:40 PM
Just a warning people. While I am an easy going kind of guy, if you display the amazing lack of common sense to tick me off, you will find yourself without an account. I can take honest criticisim, but jerks get no mercy.
GuardianAngel - 3/24/2013, 10:40 PM
Do you really have to spoil it in the teaser? Can't you atleast put a spoiler warning in the title?
ComicBookMovie - 3/24/2013, 10:44 PM
I'll say this once again for all you whiners saying, "but what about people who DVR, and people in other countries"...

1.) We are a breaking news site. After something is aired on TV to the majority of the world, it is NOT considered a spoiler.

2.) AMC gave us the video and pics in this article 19 minutes after the episode was airing on the east coast. We waited until it was over, and posted. Again, not spoiling anything AMC didn't already.

End of story.
RetroFit - 3/24/2013, 10:44 PM
Wow. Thanks for spoiling it for me. Seriously!
LAXtremest - 3/24/2013, 10:47 PM
ElMayaimbe from Latino Review already posted this picture last week and got banned for doing it. The secret was already out. But on point, of you know it's aired in the U.S. and don't want it spoiled, stay off the site until you view it. Could be a solution....
RetroFit - 3/24/2013, 10:51 PM
It should not have been a difficult choice to simply respect this site's fans by going with a headline like 'The Walking Dead - VIDEO SPOILER!! - Major character gets zombified! Click at your own peril!' and then not include the picture of Merle splashed all over the main page, thus not even giving any of us a chance to have that ruined or not. It should always our choice. Erring on the side of teasing versus spoiling.
AsianVersionOfET - 3/24/2013, 10:59 PM
Such a good episode, my favorite so far. Ended up liking Merle, and Daryl is gonna go apeshat!
Slider13 - 3/24/2013, 11:02 PM
I love the site and as far as this spoiler controversy goes, if you can't control your web browsing and stay away from " any" site that might post spoilers ( and there are many ) then you get what you pay for...Anybody who can't handle a little news in advance is as dead to me as Merle...oops, SPOILER!
ahhmynuts - 3/24/2013, 11:09 PM
CBM isnt going to cater to the few(in relation to do total number of visitors daily) people that complain. theres people that also look to this site that dont care about spoilers who honestly would probably out number the people that do care 100-1. if you dont want to see spoilers then dont go on this site. you know its gonna be up so why go on. no one made you do it.
TheBatman1 - 3/24/2013, 11:09 PM
While this episode was not spoiled for me, I have sympathy for everyone else that got spoiled. @CBM What is so hard about putting a spoiler warning. I check this site for news, not spoilers. And insulting people because they were upset about being spoiled is wrong.
ahhmynuts - 3/24/2013, 11:15 PM
drama queens are out in full force tonight! lol
Silentman - 3/24/2013, 11:15 PM
this show keeps getting worse. every time a character finally gets good development, oops they're dead. such bs. the last three episodes were finally giving me hope, starting with "clear" which was one of the best of the series and definitely the best of this season. i'm gonna watch the finale and hope that it gets better, but if it doesn't deliver, then i give up on this show.
preacher - 3/24/2013, 11:15 PM
I don't know...maybe someone's already mentioned this but I have been coming to this website for a few yrs now and sooo many times I have seen countless complaints from people LIVID about a spoiler to the latest comic book film presented carelessly in the headline. And a film is also released NATIONALLY but in the interest of those people who have yet to see the film, the writer of the article is reprimanded via the written word several times by many different people. Granted, once the film has been out for a while, anyone's idea of a (spoiler alert) is pretty lame. BUT, when s film, or in this case, a brand new episode of a hugely popular tv series' surprise plot twist is revealed in a HEADLINE on the same damn day, to me, imho, is disrespectful to people who frequent the site. And to basically then tell fans of said site, ' oh well. deal w it.' is such a huge slap in the face to your readers, not to mention highly disrespectful. I sometimes CHOOSE to spoil a plot twist myself bc sometimes, I just can't stand waiting. But therein lies my point. You took away the choice. And it makes me feel as if you don't care about your readers, at all.

And to those of you who have seen said episode and are rising to defend the headline, would u have felt differently if u HADN'T already watched it? My guess is that many of you would.

Maybe I'm wrong about all of this, but, in the end, its just my opinion. From what I have read in the comment section of this article, I suppose readers opinions don't matter much either.

ahhmynuts - 3/24/2013, 11:18 PM
i see that but you cant wait till after watching the episode to go on this site? no one made you go on here so why are you blaming CBM for your act. this is what the site does and has been doing. you knew there was going to be spoilers yet you went on...
mkilban2 - 3/24/2013, 11:19 PM
Just my 2 cents, I'm very glad that I caught this episode live because that seeing that picture staring at me would have made me very upset. I understand that spoilers are a common place here, but they are only right if they are hidden under an article picture and title that say "SPOILERS WITHIN" therefore it is the user's choice to click on it and spoil it for themselves.

I think it's very rude to the majority of the users of this site to see this right after the episode airs, regardless of when you got your information sent to you.
Beandon - 3/24/2013, 11:24 PM
@Silentman I agree with you about them killing every character that starts to get likable. There could have been some really cool dramatic moments with the characters they've killed, but I like what the deaths bring out of the other characters, and it gives the show a true feeing of no one is safe, which makes it all the more intense
mkilban2 - 3/24/2013, 11:28 PM
by this time tomorrow I'm guessing we have 5+ pages of all complaints and a few people standing up for Galactus... and rightfully so, this was a slap in the face.

To be clear, I'm all for spoilers but I like to be warned I'm going to have to click it myself to see it, NOT have it plastered right in front of my face. The fact that a HUGE picture of zombie Merle is the first thing anyone sees when typing in the browser just isn't right. You could have broke the news and had it as the main headliner with just as much activity without giving it all away without clicking on the article itself.

"Breaking News" site or not this was a low blow and very unprofessional in my opinion, I know this seems like a rude comment but please take your website users into consideration a little bit more. People may have wanted to see the new IM3 breaking news but were going to avoid tonight TWD recap until late and you've ruined that for them, and those in other countries.
Beandon - 3/24/2013, 11:32 PM
@FoxtrotDelta88 you mean like how glenn got his skull smashed in?
