Hmmmmm some of these could happen!

I honestly see a solo Hulk film in the near future. And I see in the near future when some superhero fatigue may kick in.

Also some people will get salty over this.....

I don't want any of these things to happen.

@Nebula - he has worked great in other movies. Its a pity about his solo movies.i actually liked the norton film quite a bit.i think the way it could work is a planet hulk type movie later down the road.

Zero chance Congress would allow Disney to have a monopoly in the comic book universe, but the thought of Superman fighting alongside Gladiator is exciting.

@BlackIceJoe - Diamond Comics Distribution has a monopoly in the comics business, and Congress couldn’t care less. In this case, Regulators really don’t care about the studio side of the business. “All of the best characters being owned by one studio” isn’t the kind of monopoly they worry about, because it’s not really a monopoly at all.

@BlackIceJoe - Honestly, I'm just wondering why we're talking about the Disney/Fox deal like it's a done thing when it hasn't been approved by Congress hasn't even finalized the deal (and won't until summer 2019 if at all)? I mean, personally I'm against it but even if you are, why would you deliberately say it's a sure thing when it's not? That's just setting yourself up for disappointment.

BlackIceJoe - 4/12/2018, 2:37 PM
@Origame - I too am against the Fox, Disney merger and have on this very site listed reasons why it isn't good for consumers, I've been called out as a fake comic book fan, because I think differently. I know for a fact if Disney buys Fox many people will be out of a job and from personal experience finding a job right now isn't the easiest thing. If it was just about comic book movies I'd be fine with the deal, but knowing there will be one less major movie studio, which will result in less innovation in film making
I'll always be not for Disney getting more power.
Origame
Origame - 4/12/2018, 2:53 PM
@BlackIceJoe - Yeah. Last year both Disney and Fox were the biggest studios in terms of profits. And now they're merging. Why does this seem like a good thing to people? Even forgetting about the loss of jobs people are going to have, it's going to be terrible having one studio with all that power. They already have too much as they're strong arming theaters to give them more of the profits and other ridiculous demands for showing the latest Star Wars, and that's when it's already ridiculous what OTHER studios do to them. But of course people are like "well we'll just get rid of theaters and only do streaming" but who's to say they won't do the same to streaming services making that an utter nightmare for both those sites and the people paying for the service?

If it was just a matter of Disney getting back X-Men or FF, I wouldn't have an issue with it (well maybe for X-Men but just over handling them in a cinematic universe) but the whole company is just way too much.

"it's not hard to imagine Disney swooping in and purchasing its biggest superhero rival."

Disney literally can't buy DC. They would have a near monopoly on the Comic book market. Which is illegal.

I want Marvel to get back the rights to ROM and the Micronauts. A pipe dream, but we can dream.

I'd also like Fiege to reboot Iron Fist on the big screen. Am a huge Power Man and Iron Fist fan and was utterly disappointed by the show. If you dont have the budget, why not use Shang-Chi instead?
Origame
Origame - 4/12/2018, 2:12 PM
@SnapperCarr - Yeah. Major disappointment. I think it'll still be fine as a show though. Just include more martial artists in the cast. Like the guy who played the drunk master (who funny story tried for the part of Danny).

Disney buying Warner with DC would make so many people lose their collective shit lol. I think there would be a ripple effect though because that would mean one of the lesser known companies could eventually emerge as a new competitor. Darkhorse or Image would probably gain a good heft of new fan base. I honestly don't see Disney dismantling DC though, it could actually help them in the long run.

5. Likely after Spider-Man.
4. Don't want it but im sure Forthas does.
3. They arent competition NOW but I still hope one day that their movies are only a couple million apart at the box office.
2. Never happening but if it did this site will crash, there will be riots and a comic book fan civil war.
1. Marvel Studios have proven themselves time and time again. Making D-listers house hold names. If DC really starts improving then the superhero genre will be a fixed part of the film making.
