@Kyos - I think they're going to go pretty traditional with that one. And it's not a hard design to get right. Two parts Ivan Draggo, one part Terminator, with a dash of Winter Soldier, and you're good.

I just hope we don't get into a "they'll fix it in CG" shitstorm. It's totally plausible they might, but I don't want to have wade through the debate for six months before the trailer comes out.

@LEVITIKUZ - the fact that they call her MJ reduces the chance of the actual Mary Jane making an appearance in the MCU to near 0%, so in a way she is the embodiment of Mary Jane.

@Kyos - my problem with her is she is called MJ. You don't take the iconic nickname of an iconic female comic book character that fans including myself love dearly and slap it on whoever you like.
I'm perfectly fine with her being just Michele, an original love interest. Don't call her MJ this MJ that, because she's not.

@KIDCOM - No, Feige already addressed that. He said definitively that Michelle wasn't MJ. The line came off as more of a joke. The real MJ will almost certainly appear in later films. Maybe Homecoming 3.

@KIDCOM is right. I saw Homecoming again just yesterday (liked it quite a bit more than the first time, but it drags some on a repeat viewing). And I absolutely love the Michelle character and Zendaya's portrayal.

BUT she's a terrible adaptation of Mary Jane, and despite what anyone may want to claim now, it's pretty clear the intent was for her to be the MJ of the MCU. Sort of similar to what people have (wrongly, I think) accused Iron Man 3 of doing to Mandarin. Regardless of whatever happens going forward, I don't think we're getting Mary Jane. Maybe they keep calling Michelle "Michelle", or maybe they don't. But they aren't touching this topic again.

Feige is many things, but when he burns himself on even a minor controversy, he never goes near it again.
