DEADPOOL Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For 'Negasonic Teenage Warhead'

DEADPOOL Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For 'Negasonic Teenage Warhead'

Thanks to some concept designs from artist James Shaw, we can get an idea of how Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead could have looked in Tim Miller's Deadpool movie...

Below are some pretty cool alternate designs for Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and as you can see she originally bore much more of a resemblance to her short-lived comic book counterpart.

Of course since the character was pretty much completely reinvented for Deadpool in regards to her mutant abilities etc, it obviously wasn't too big a deal to go with the distinctive shaved head and classic New Mutant-like costume actress Brianna Hildebrand sported in the movie.

Though not confirmed, Negasonic is expected to return with either a sullen silence or a mean comment for Deadpool 2.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand, Deadpool is in theaters now. You can check out my review HERE.

I wonder why they went with the shaved head. saving money on hair and make-up I guess
jmorin - 3/1/2016, 9:30 AM
@Doopie - I believe her hair was already short and they liked it so they kept it that way. Likewise for her septum piercing.
Primordiac - 2/29/2016, 5:54 AM
I don't get it, her X-costume was the best of all the Fox films yet.

So yeah Cyclops, yellow spandex.
MattBellissimo - 2/29/2016, 6:08 AM
@Primordiac - Won't happen with Singer. Well...he'll tell you that it will, and then it just won't.
Jollem - 2/29/2016, 5:55 AM
give deadpool back to marvel studios
Megaman - 2/29/2016, 6:15 AM
@Jollem - yes I've always wanted to see Disney's underwhelming take on this character, could use a nap. Maybe I'll put Age of Ultron in the Blu-Ray to tide me over, although I usually just count Iron Man 3 armors to put me to sleep.
Jollem - 2/29/2016, 6:18 AM
@Sprayface -

Jollem - 2/29/2016, 6:19 AM
@Megaman - oh...snap
mutantsoldier - 2/29/2016, 6:56 AM
@Jollem - calm down jollem , you're gonna make angry the mcu fanboys....
SpideySupes94 - 2/29/2016, 9:38 AM
@Jollem - Don't you ever tire of being a perpetual asshole? It's not an insult, I'm genuinely curious. Did Kevin Feige or someone from the MCU core committee rape you mother or something. The unfathomable amount of hate that you have for anything MCU is quite psychotic at this point.
MattBellissimo - 2/29/2016, 5:57 AM
Yeah, I liked how she looked in the film.

Her X-outfit was pretty wicked.

this makes me anxious for a "NEW MUTANTS" movie, with the original formation, Danielle Moonstar, Sunspot, Cannonball and Rahne. Doesn´t need to be Rated R. We just need good stories.
MexicanSexyman - 2/29/2016, 6:19 AM
@VictorHugo - @Gusto loves Cannonball, so [frick] that character. I hope he doesn't get adapted just piss him off.
hufflepuff69 - 2/29/2016, 8:30 AM
@VictorHugo - Yes!
Pathogen - 2/29/2016, 8:12 PM
@VictorHugo - Yeah..but they are making it all Twilight-style...so...yeah.
VictorHugo - 3/1/2016, 6:38 AM
@hufflepuff69 - the new Mutants would be perfect for a TV show!
CopperCrow - 2/29/2016, 6:05 AM
I actually prefer any of the concept pieces over the film...
Number 5 would've been good.
... Hair would've been nice too.
MexicanSexyman - 2/29/2016, 6:19 AM
@AnimalDesatado - Not happening. Get over it.
UltimateCookie - 2/29/2016, 6:21 AM
@AnimalDesatado - Miller can't handle stories nearly as well as Singer.
mutantsoldier - 2/29/2016, 6:24 AM
@AnimalDesatado - shut the [frick] up about this already. you screaming on a website about it isn't doing jack shit./
Pathogen - 2/29/2016, 8:12 PM
@UltimateCookie - Singer has proven he can't handle stories at all. Have you watched the X-Men movies?
UltimateCookie - 3/2/2016, 9:07 AM
@Pathogen - He's shown pretty great storytelling bro. Just because it's not necessarily comic accurate doesn't mean the story is bad, Singer has made some great films in his XMen stint.
Pathogen - 3/2/2016, 9:42 AM
@UltimateCookie - Just stop. Great and X-Men and Film should not, at this point, be in the same sentence. There isn't any redeeming quality to the X-Men story lines, and he even had a great template from the comics! He could have just plagiarized and done a better job than his mess of a story line. And his directing has sucked donkey butt. The whole Golden Gate bridge scene, the mess made of the Phoenix saga, the Statue of Liberty scene, Sabertooth...what WAS that, how he can't seem to make a good ensemble movie so great characters end up being generic wooden characters that barely resemble their X-Men characters, his timeline issues, Rogue...well, not being Rogue, I can go on and on.
I will give you that DoFP and First Class (I know it wasn't directed by him..don't care), while still being fractured, badly conceived movies, they are a step up from the first 3. Hell, he could deliver shit in a bucket and I'd appreciate that more than the first 3.
UltimateCookie - 3/2/2016, 9:52 AM
@Pathogen - well then we agree to disagree bro no need for hostility. I think Singer is in the same boat as Raimi as far as making good on the characters within its own cinematic world. I'm not saying anything is fact cause they're just movies at the end of the day.
Pathogen - 3/2/2016, 4:04 PM
@UltimateCookie - No hostility intended, I sometimes let my tone get away from me! I also, for some reason, feel passionately because I was a huge X-Men fan growing up and to see him totally ruin every character (except for Prof X and Kelsey Grammar as Beast) just gives me a bad taste, and I get annoyed when people continue to swallow his bullshit and pay to see the movies
Platinum - 2/29/2016, 6:11 AM
Ooh some of these designs, I like em!

MexicanSexyman - 2/29/2016, 6:20 AM
@JoeMomma29 would have been great as her...

MexicanSexyman - 2/29/2016, 6:23 AM
If they wanted to change the race of the character, @Nomis would be perfect...

JoeMomma29 - 2/29/2016, 6:29 AM
@MexicanSuperman - LMAO!
Nomis - 2/29/2016, 6:43 AM
@MexicanSuperman - DON't HATE ME 'CAUSE I'M FABULOUS!!!
Gusto - 2/29/2016, 8:55 AM

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HeavensWarrior - 2/29/2016, 6:20 AM
Concept or original look probably looks to much gothic/emo centric

I'm cool with the way she look in deadpool
UltimateCookie - 2/29/2016, 6:25 AM
I hate when concept art is great and not used. I hope we see at least one of these designs in the next film.
mutantsoldier - 2/29/2016, 6:26 AM
funny how mcu dick riders are now dick riding deadpool. But completely forgot NTW in the movie is different from the comics. I mean aren't you guys supposed to bitch about everything Fox chnages???
Chewtoy - 2/29/2016, 6:33 AM
@mutantsoldier - honestly, if you can't tell why people complain about some Fox movies and the changes they make and yet love Deadpool, the problem is likely with you.
mutantsoldier - 2/29/2016, 6:41 AM
@Chewtoy - it's a [frick]ing joke retard.
Chewtoy - 2/29/2016, 6:50 AM
@mutantsoldier - Of course. Angrily venting in multiple posts is classic wit.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 2/29/2016, 6:52 AM
@mutantsoldier - how many times has NTW showed up in the comics? .......I'll wait.....................What you don't get is that certain can be tweaked and others can be reinvented due to not having a long comicbook history i.e. NTW.
mutantsoldier - 2/29/2016, 6:53 AM
@Chewtoy - are you gonna cry now?
Talontd - 2/29/2016, 8:43 AM
@mutantsoldier - A joke? Yea, sure...nice comeback loser.
