Ryan Reynolds Goes Sci-Fi For Next Movie Role

Ryan Reynolds Goes Sci-Fi For Next Movie Role

A Deadpool sequel and possibly X-Men cameos are certainly in Ryan Reynolds' future but his next movie role will be to co-star alongside Rebecca Ferguson in new sci-fi adventure , Life.

Ryan Reynolds' follow up to Deadpool will be a sci-fi jaunt directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Deadpool screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.  Espinosa previously worked with Reynolds in the underrated 2012 movie, Safe House.  Life, the title of Reynolds' next feature will focus on "the crew of the International Space Station, who, after retrieving a sample from Mars, discover that it displays signs of life, and proves to be more intelligent than expected."

Reynolds will costar in the film alongside Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation breakout star, Rebecca Ferguson. There's currently no confirmed release date for Life or the Deadpool sequel.

slickrickdesigns - 2/18/2016, 8:45 AM

Mr2099 - 2/18/2016, 10:22 AM

MercwithMouth - 2/18/2016, 11:04 AM
@slickrickdesigns - most of his movies are underrated.
slickrickdesigns - 2/18/2016, 11:22 AM
@MercwithMouth - No RIPD or Green Lantern... aka Gustos favorite Reynolds movie.
blackandyellow - 2/18/2016, 8:32 AM
He'll always be Van Wilder to me.
monkeyballs - 2/18/2016, 8:36 AM
@blackandyellow - LMAO. He's Van Wilder in every movie he's in. Including Deadpool.
BumNinja - 2/18/2016, 11:08 AM
@monkeyballs - No....He's Deadpool in every movie. Including Van Wilder.
GhostSurfer - 2/18/2016, 11:55 AM
@monkeyballs - Except, you know, for Buried, Safe House, Self/Less, Woman in Gold, The Captive, Adventure Land, Amityville Horror, and many more.
monkeyballs - 2/18/2016, 12:04 PM
@GhostSurfer - Woah! You've seen all of those? President of the Ryan Reynolds Fan Club?

GhostSurfer - 2/18/2016, 1:32 PM
@monkeyballs - Well, I haven't seen 2 of them, but trailers show that they are much different roles. Reynolds is a lot more diverse than "Van Wilder" persona.
SuperCat - 2/18/2016, 8:35 AM
"Waiting" is still my favorite Reynolds movie.
monkeyballs - 2/18/2016, 8:40 AM
@SuperCat - Really? I thought it was this one?

Rulk - 2/18/2016, 8:42 AM
@SuperCat - you must have been / are currently a waiter. It seems to be the only people who can actually sit through that dreadfully unwatchable film..
slickrickdesigns - 2/18/2016, 8:44 AM
@SuperCat - I would say Waiting is probably his best role before Deadpool...

Gusto - 2/18/2016, 8:46 AM

Monk...lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!
CAPTAINPINKEYE - 2/18/2016, 9:06 AM
@SuperCat - me too. loved this movie. my buddies and i still quote this movie all the time.
SuperCat - 2/18/2016, 9:30 AM
@monkeyballs - LOL! That's f*cked up!
mercury3896 - 2/18/2016, 10:50 AM
@Rulk - never was, nor ever will be a waiter or work in a restaurant, however my else and anyone I've talked to about the movie all love it
Rulk - 2/18/2016, 11:01 AM
@mercury3896 & @SuperCat - In case I was going crazy I just checked this and it's 31% on Rotten Tomatoes! So woohoo! I'm not crazy!! Sorta...!!
MercwithMouth - 2/18/2016, 11:05 AM
@SuperCat - waiting is now his 2nd best role. Deadpool is obviously 1st, and Buried rounds out the top 3.
MercwithMouth - 2/18/2016, 11:06 AM
@Rulk - yeah, I don't know anyone that dislikes Waiting.
Rulk - 2/18/2016, 11:11 AM
@MercwithMouth - Waiting has a Meta score of 30. Stop making me think I'm crazy!!!

Baf - 2/18/2016, 12:48 PM
@SuperCat -
I haven't seen Deadpool yet. Monty, from Waiting is his best character by far.
Rulk - 2/18/2016, 8:40 AM
Great, another movie that will suck!

Just keep making Deadpool movies! It's what you're good at!
McGee - 2/18/2016, 8:55 AM
I should probably get coffee, because I initially read your comment as "another great movie that will suck!"
Rulk - 2/18/2016, 9:08 AM
@McGee - Have some beer and it will read "he sucks lots of great movies!"

Have some Tequila and it will read " @Gusto sucks me at great movies with Ryan Reynolds!"
SuperCat - 2/18/2016, 9:37 AM
@Rulk - Nah. Never worked at a restaurant. Not sure why I like that movie so much. Maybe it's the hidden message. Don't f*ck with anyone that prepares your food.
Rulk - 2/18/2016, 9:56 AM
@SuperCat - True dat.

And what do I know anyway. I love that Dice Clay movie Adventures of Ford Fairlane that everyone seems to hate..

SuperCat - 2/18/2016, 10:00 AM
@Rulk - I'm one of the majority that hates it! LOL!
obredaan - 2/18/2016, 8:42 AM
The Fox executives have so much egg on their face right now. After years of putting down Deadpool and attempting to undercut Miller and Reynolds over and over again, the film is huge and now Fox will put Deadpool in every movie. Bunch of morons. So happy for Miller and Reynolds who remained dedicated and passionate about this project despite many of the suits scoffing at. Now of course, these same suits will take all the credit and plaster 'from the studio that brought you Deadpool' all over the place.
Bl00dwerK - 2/18/2016, 8:46 AM
@obredaan - You must be one of those "Give the rights back to Marvel" folks...
mutantsoldier - 2/18/2016, 9:00 AM
@obredaan - what are you talking about?? seriously some of you people are mentally challenged...
obredaan - 2/18/2016, 9:30 AM
@Bl00dwerK - Why would I be a 'Give the rights back to Marvel' person when I'm just stating a fact that Tim Miller himself stated? Have you guys read the articles where Tim Miller describes how was treated and what he went through to get this film made? What's wrong with what I'm saying exactly? As for Marvel, no i don't want the rights back with Marvel cause I don't care about any of that. I'm simply praising the people that made this film happen. What's wrong with that?
obredaan - 2/18/2016, 9:39 AM
@mutantsoldier - Here read the article below... I'd be saying the same if the suits at Marvel or Warner or any other studio did these things.

GhostSurfer - 2/18/2016, 11:58 AM
@mutantsoldier - Nope, he's correct about everything he's saying. You are the one who's acting "mentally challenged", there's more than enough information out there to justify his comments, including interviews with Miller, Reynolds, Reese, and Wernick discussing it.
mutantsoldier - 2/18/2016, 2:11 PM
@GhostSurfer - but what the [frick] does that have to do with this article??
GhostSurfer - 2/18/2016, 3:03 PM
@mutantsoldier - Nothing really, but it's still a factual statement and not at all deserving of that "mentally challenged" line.
Th0rOdinson - 2/18/2016, 8:48 AM
he got second chance which most actors don't get these days
Ajaxx - 2/18/2016, 9:01 AM
