Champions Battle Poll (Week 8: Round 1)

Only stuff I know about Blade is from the movies, so not gonna vote on that. Bane with the venom drug would beat the croc, almost as strong and way smarter and more skilled. Flash and the Quickster are two of my all time favorites, They're both pretty dang fast. But Flash takes it though. He's got a myriad of other abilities that Quickster don't have.

I would say the God Mercury or maybe the Eternal speedster Makkari, but definitely not Quicksilver. He's lucky if he's 10% of what the Flash is capable of. Quicksilver is limited by the laws of physics.

I went with Panther. I figured they were both on par strength and speed wise, although I admit I've never read anything that stated that. I have read the early stories with blade in it and he was nothing special in the 70s certainly not that he would threaten someone of the Panthers stature. We often compare the Black Panther Capt. America who has no problem taking care of vampires. The Panthers in my eyes is too resourceful and has too many gadgets. Once he was aware he was dealing with the vampire it would be little challenge for him to take them out with a piece of wood.

I don't know much about Bane, but I do know he doesn't use venom any longer making him less powerful than his original debut. If killer croc is anything like the lizard or even 50% of the lizard he would destroy a bane.

Bane is far more than "a weightlifter on roids". Bane is a top tier martial artist almost on par with Batman. I'd argue Bane is top ten martial artists in DCU. He is also one of the world's greatest tactical minds, up there with Deathstroke and Batman. He's also been fighting since he was young and is very battle hardened.

All that, AND he has venom/enhancements that make him stronger, faster, more agile and more durable than humans. The only augmentation he doesn't have is a mental augmentation.


Punisher, is a great martial artist in his own right. (has mastered eight styles, along with lots of military experience, has defeated Black Widow snd stalemated Moon Knight) and is probably top 20 In the tactics/strategy department and probably even top 10 in MU. But his martial arts skill and tactical skill just aren't up to par with Bane. Castle's only advantage in that fight is his weapons, in fact I'd say Punisher and Deathstroke are tied at first place in mastery of weapons. Bane avoids using weapons most of the time. But even then Bane's speed is enhanced, and Batman has avoided automatic firearms in the past it's my conclusion that Bane would do so as well.

To sum things up, I disagree with the other voters on that fight.

What I'd still like to know is, how da {frick} did Thor beat Flash?

How Flash beat Thor-My guess people didn't know of the Speed Force Aura that protect speedters from high speed impacts like being tripped,hitting something,and/or being hit by some one.

Punisher beating Bane-Guns were the deciding factor for some.

In my personal opinion, if Punisher faces Batman or Bane it probably goes down like this.

Look, I'm not going to get into a big fight right now. But something I have had to come to grips with Batman for instance is that if his creators state that he's mastered 127 styles, then we have to accept that he has mastered 127 styles. I can argue that certain feats are PIS, but overall I have to accept the facts.

According to what's written in the comics. Frank has mastered at least three styles, and there is talk of another one that's actually 4 different styles rolled into one. I also have a scan where he does pretty well against Black Widow if you'd like to see.

There's also when he went toe to toe with the Mongolian, who's an oriental master. I'm not gonna go into his fights against Wolverine and Daredevil when they're written by Ennis. I'd consider those PIS.

The thing is, I think you guys misunderstood what I was saying.
I didn't say Bucky lost to Punisher. I was saying if people voted for Castle to beat Bane then Bucky should've owned him.

I'd say Frank has the edge against Comedian in skill. While I think Comedian has better ranged weapons (grenade launcher)

Okay, sorry if I got a bit snappy. I've only seen one particular fight between Daredevil and Widow, it was when he thought that baby was the anti Christ or something like that. She pretty much just ran away from him but later got creamed. Also, I just have to say that DD would hold back against Widow because he loves her. I think realistically, if we were gonna look at DD's skills and BW's skills that he outclasses her vastly just like he does with Castle. (same could be said for Elektra btw) and the only way it really makes sense for either of them to stand up to him is if he's holding back. Frank on the other hand, would have no problem turning Natasha into hamburger meat. I think realistically that's the only way that Black Widow or Elektra can give DD a decent fight is if he's holding back.


Anyways, Frank is skilled in Ninjutsu, Chin-Na and Chorin-Ra. I have the scans where he says he knows these and he uses them in combat. But you'll have to wait til morning I'm too lazy to look e'm up in the middle of the night. It's also stated that he knows a certain 4-style blend of martial arts developed by a senseii in the army. but this is only listed under his statistics and I can't find it anywhere in the comics, so jury's still out on that one.


All I'm trying to say is, that if you put Frank up against world class masters like Daredevil, Iron Fist, Cap, Panther, Bucky or Wolverine then yeah he's gonna take a real beating (regardless of what Garth Ennis thinks) but if you put him against mid tier martial artists like Black Widow, Green Arrow, Bullseye, Nightwing, etc. then he'll have a decent chance at taking them on in h2h.



That's all I'm getting at. Sorry if I got a bit ranty.
