Bane:Who?

We've been trying to decide who could play Bane and I've come up with a few thoughts!

Ok the thought is:

1) Bane has to be big.
2) Bane has to be speaking.
3) Bane is not stupid.
4) Bane has to be really big.

All these come into play while casting Bane. And I think the only way it can really be done is like this. Cast two actors. Body work and voice over. And who they would probably have to get a wrestler. Not Tyler Mane. Here are my choices for Bane:

the great khali22 Pictures, Images and Photos: Yes he's a big [frick]er. Just throw the mask on him and let someone else do the talking.

Batista Pictures, Images and Photos: Yeah he's a WWE fan fav but I don't really know about his acting ability.

Bill Pictures, Images and Photos: He's big as hell and he's got some acting roles under his belt. Maybe Goldberg.

Markus Ruhl Dips Pictures, Images and Photos: A friend of mine told me to look this guy up and this [frick]er is big as hell but I don't know about his acting ability.

But like I said do the silver surfer thing. One actor for the body and another actor for the voice.

what are you talking about we dont really need Bane. Bane was the first person to take batman out. he almost made wayne retire completely.

i say give bane the jekyll hyde treatment, mo-cap on a big arm suit... so the actor playing him wouldn't matter, just need good voice acting.

shaman@ my favorite martial arts movie right there... second only to enter the dragon probably

I like the idea of using a beefcake wrestler with voice over. Kali is literally a monster!

I think they should go with the juggernaut route

I said this months ago, Javier Baradem, and some CGI of prostetics and you're good to go, hell he even looks like Bane!

I think if/and or when they do Bane, he needs to be big, like Batista or Kali, with a voice over, but not so big he can't move his arms like the Jeep Swenson version or like that huge body builder dude. That's just too big. I just know it may be a while before they use the Batman breaker. The Batfranchise isn't desparate enough to bring out a storyline that would involve Bane ala what WB may and needs to do with Superman by using Doomsday. Bane needs to be used during a Knightfall type storyline. That's the only memorable story I've read with him in it. I don't know. I'm sure Nolan could pull a fantastic story out of his ass and make it shine like foil.

no CGI though looks less natural than prosthetics

Who else for Bane but Nathan Jones! The Man's Mt. Everest! Just dub in the voice ala Darth Maul and Ray Park!

ya nathan jones would be perfect if he wasnt bein juggernaut in an xmen reboot....anyway pretty good castin i like bana as riddler but i have a question why cant we have bane i mean he would be perfect to throw in right now he takes out batman at the end and then batman can move on into the justice league type of stuff where it gets a little less real and thats when you bring in mr freeze poison ivy and whatnot bane is really the only one to break batman so have him do that and end nolans trilogy successfully because thats really all were gonna get outta nolan and the gang after this next one hell move on bale will be out

That martial art movie was Tony Jaa's "The Protector". I prefered "Ong Bak" personally but Nathan Jones has also been in "Fearless" with Jet Li. He's got a ddep voice so maybe if he took acting classes i dunno. But Bardem is also a great choice if you want a "good" actor. Bardem could do Jones's voice over LOL :P

The problem with voiceover is its looks unatural,its also about facial movement(cause he would be without the mask in some scenes)
prosthetics look way more natural though

I think that the voice over would work Bane wears a mask you wouldn't see his mouth move. But I still don't understand what all the hype is about nolan? I think that he is average at best. If Ledger had not died I don't think that batman would have been as sucessful. Who cares if it is realistic or not, this is a freakin comic book movie.

I'll agree with Nolan being average. He sure isn't Snyder ;) And Batman Begins was better than TDK IMO. Had it not been for Ledger's performance, i could honestly tell you that i would have even prefered Batman Returns. Crazy, in'it???

@Shaman nice protector pic. that and Ong Bok are fantastic movies. do you know if Tony Jaa has any new projects in the works? or any films other than those 2, they're the only one's I've seen him in.

I agree with the silver surfer idea, 2 actors. it could work, just use the voice actor for any flashback or pre-juice scenes and have the roided out actor in the mask. maybe do one cgi scene putting the actors face on the other body.

ThoroughbredSteele0- Actually, he walked off the set of Ong Bak 2 so i dunno what's gonna happen with that. He also did The Bodyguard 1 & 2 lately. Haven't seen them cause they're a bit expensive to buy. I'll pick them up sooner or later.
