CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

-NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST. In choosing a winner base your vote on the most iconic interpretation of the character. The comment section is a great place for you to present why you think that character would win the fight.

-The fights does not need to be deathmatches, incapacitating the other fighter/s can be considered a win.

-Lopsided matches may occur (which happens regularly in the comics and movies). Fights may consist of individuals, duos or teams.

-Eligible fighters are characters who have adaptations in any form of comics AND movies.

The Goal of CBM FightClub is to encourage a healthy discussion between passionate like-minded individuals. It is an avenue for seasoned "geeks" to impart knowledge to "noobs" to the world of comicdom, by best describing characters through their powers and skills set. All comments are highly welcomed using the comment section, though we hold premium those who are able to respect other's opinions.

this led me to thinking the other day as to different possbilties,
the likes of stich (disey's furry alien), and other odd mixtures for example combat of like for like,
Batman Vs Forbushman or V or Darkwing duck
any or all with so many contenders its mind blowing opening the doors to so many fun battles.

How stupid, he'd break both his legs just from his momentum alone

Even with “bat prep time”… (eyes rolling)

Aquaman vs Thing: Thing. I dig Aquaman and all but could he hold his own against Hulk? Or Gladiator? Or Juggernaut? Or Colossus? Or Colossus with the power of Juggernaut? I don't think so. Benji's got this one.

Mask vs Lobo -- Lobo's never been written with a consistent power set; some writers put him at human level, others at Superman level, so really the only fair thing to do would be to aim for the middle which would put him somewhere around the level of, say, Doc Sampson or Mr. Hyde (sorry, can't think of any DC equivalents). At any rate, he's going up against a weapon which makes its user basically unkillable and capable of doing anything the user's imagination can come up with. I don't see Lobo taking this one by any stretch.

Invisible Woman vs Star Girl: Invisible Woman, easily, without breaking a sweat. The pacifist way would be for IW to turn invisible, form a force field around SG's head and wait 'til the chick passes out from lack of oxygen. If that fails, she could just create a force field inside SG's body and enlarge it 'til the chick explodes. IW is perpetually under-rated in these contests...
PieEyedPiper - 7/14/2012, 10:33 AM
@Loudlon, I agree with you on Star Girl vs. IW, but when I look at Aquaman vs. Thing, I'm not just taking strength into account. Strength and how many tons a guy can lift are not the only things that will win a fight. Aquaman has a far greater powerset than the Thing and that is why I think Aquaman would ultimately win.

Also, I disagree with your assessment of Lobo. Putting him in the middle because he's been written to have the strength level of a human once, doesn't seem fair. I use the most common incarnation of him, which is a very super powered being. Can you even list the comics where he had the strength of a human?
LoudLon - 7/14/2012, 12:52 PM
^^^ No, and I don't think it matters, honestly. Not being able to name the specific issue doesn't change the fact that the issue exists, and it's not the only one. His powerset was ALWAYS inconsistent, be it in his own title or his appearances in other titles. And the same goes with Aquaman, as far as that goes.

Hey, blame the writers. That's what I do.
LoudLon - 7/14/2012, 12:55 PM
^^^ Actually, now that I think about it, DC's always been inconsistent in regards to their characters' power sets. Not hating or anything, I dig Marvel and DC both. Just saying.
rottencotten - 7/14/2012, 3:42 PM
Thing- This would be out of water, and Aquaman couldn't one-touch Ben, so this comes down to a straight brawl and I think Mr. Grimm has what it takes to win.

Lobo- This wouldn't be a match with prep, but the opponents are aware of each others abilities, which means, Lobo would probably be able to come up with a way to de-mask whoever is wearing it, and might use it for himself...craziness!!...

Invisible Woman- What @Loudlon said...

Female Fight- I have to take the underdog: Lara Croft
