CBM Fight Club RULES!!!

-NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST. In choosing a winner base your vote on the most iconic interpretation of the character. The comment section is a great place for you to present why you think that character would win the fight.

-The fights does not need to be deathmatches, incapacitating the other fighter/s can be considered a win.

-Lopsided matches may occur (which happens regularly in the comics and movies). Fights may consist of individuals, duos or teams.

-Eligible fighters are characters who have adaptations in any form of comics AND movies.

The Goal of CBM FightClub is to encourage a healthy discussion between passionate like-minded individuals. It is an avenue for seasoned "geeks" to impart knowledge to "noobs" to the world of comicdom, by best describing characters through their powers and skills set. All comments are highly welcomed using the comment section, though we hold premium those who are able to respect other's opinions.

Three excellent matchups here!

INVISIBLE WOMAN vs SUPERGIRL
Both power-houses in their own rights. Supergirl I think has the decided advantage. But without prep or knowledge she may well hold back enough at first for Sue to give her some serous trouble.

BATMAN vs SPIDER-MAN
Bat's skill and experience makes hims a serous contender against Spidy's skill-set, whose lack of 'professionalism' in combat is a serious weakness when facing someone like Batman.
With no prep but knowledge of each other abilities this becomes an even harder fight for spidy, but I think he still has the slight edge, especially as he is somewhat less hampered by the lack of prep-time.

CAPTAIN AMERICA vs OZYMANDIAS
Interesting; basically the same power set. Ozy has the smarts, but Cap is the soldier with mind best suited for combat strategy over anything else.
With both prep and knowledge this becomes a serious fight.
I would have to give it to Ozy though. Not due to greater smarts so much as more moral abiguity, tendency to devise, create and use tools/weapons to enhance his chances and abilities, and greater willingness to take it to the kill. His prep would be best served in defeating Cap without entering into a one-on-one slugfest though - because that could really drag out for who knows how long with rouchly equal chances of winning.

Invisible Woman vs Supergirl: Supergirl's a powerhouse, but Sue's still got the "I can make a force field inside your body and expand it until you explode" thing perpetually on tap. For that reason alone, the always underestimated Invisible Woman is one of the biggest threats in the Marvel Universe.

Batman vs Spider-Man: with no prep -- hell, even with prep -- this fight is a joke. There's nothing Batman could throw/shoot/launch at Spider-Man that Spidey won't sense coming and dodge with time to spare. He's roughly 40 times stronger and faster than the average human, including reflexes/reaction time (according to the OHOTMU:DE) and his fighting style is completely unique, incorporating all his superhuman abilities and basically making him a blur to his opponents. The guy has taken down powerhouses on the level of level of Absorbing Man, Firelord, Thing and even fought Hulk to a standstill numerous times. Hell, he took out an entire team of X-Men -- INCLUDING Colossus and Wolverine, in the space of a few panels. Batman would do well just to turn and run away and save himself the embarrassment.

Captain America vs Ozymandias -- there's really not a lot of sense pitting human-level opponents against Cap. Like Batman, Ozy's in peak condition for a man of his age, height, weight and build, but Cap's on another level. He's not just as strong and fast as a man of his height, weight and build can be, he's as fast as ANY human being can be and not be considered superhuman. And I would discount prep time. As brilliant as Ozy is, it took him twenty years to prep and finally execute his master plan. With Cap's tactical mind, he doesn't even need twenty seconds. Add to that the fact that Cap has decades more experience kicking ass and, like Batman in the above match, Ozy would prove how smart he really is if he were to just turn tail and run.

Damn, I'm really getting long-winded on these things...but I've been away for a couple months so I have a lot of making up to do LOL

I don't thimk you are right about the physical abilities. Ozymandias is depicted at the pinnacle of human physical ability, to the point of being able to reflexively catch a bullet.

He is a superb fighter and martial artist, almost a superhuman unarmed combatant, easily defeating both Rorschach and Nite Owl.

He is shown to be a ruthless and master strategist, swiftly eliminating anybody who dares to get in the way of his plans, while maintaining total secrecy.

I doubt Sue could make a forcefield inside a Kryptonian, unless she can make Kryptonite forcefields...

Cap can't get drunk. All he has to do is challenge Ozy to a drinking contest.

MARVEL WINS AGAIN WOO HOO, next can we have Cap America vs Darkseid (cap wins) Invisible woman vs well just about anyone, invisible forcefield and blam the baddies gone, hey @LoudLon maybe shes underestimated because how many times have you seen her kill someone from making them explode.... with great power comes the burden of actually having to pull the trigger and finally Spiderman vs Superman, look forward to how Spiderman would own, merk or lay the smack down on the big blue.Yeh i have a superman icon so I must be a nolanite, dc dick sucking loser living in my mums basement watching Big Bang theory, I love Aquaman and havent read a comic sinve the silver age finnished.

I love the stupidity of Batmans W/L stats. Apparently, Supergirl can beat him but not Superman or Dr Manhattan. Herp....derp.

@illcommunication -- I understand Kryptonians have basically impenetrable skin here on earth, but does that mean their insides are hard as steel, too? Not being a smart ass, I honestly don't know the answer to that.

@ScRipt69 - Tell that to the Batman fans LOL
Illcommunicatione
Illcommunicatione - 7/18/2012, 11:10 AM
I'm no expert on Kryptonian physiology, but i would have thought that the forcefield would go much the same way as someone trying to phase inside a Kryptonian, and that is splat (for instance Vision pulling his grab the heart trick)

Not a Marvelite or a DClet (Is there a collective name for the DC fans?) Just like good comic book movies.
Craven

Supergirl- I see Kara thinking Sue is some sort of trespasser and converting her as such, first trying her freeze breath to try to interrogate her, but Sue would use her force-field to deflect it, Kara would then try to use her heat vision, but Ms. Storm would turn invisible and dodge the attack, Kara would see Mrs. Richards body-heat and fly at her with a powerful punch, again, Sue would deflect it with a force-field, Kara would than continuously pound on the force-field, eventually rendering Ms. Storm unconscious from the mental stress...

Batman- I see Spider-Man starting by saying something sarcastic, perhaps how he looks like a bat, Wayne would then throw some smoke bombs distracting Peter, than shoot a couple batarangs Parker's way, Spidey would dodge them using his spider-sense, but would be too focused on the batarang attack to notice, Bruce about to kick his head off his shoulders...

Captain America- These re-rematches are real old now...

Civil War- Just like Green Lantern, Gambit will win with will and teamwork...
