OPINION POLL: Which 90's Superhero Cartoon Show Had The Best Opening?

On this most somber of days, I thought we could enjoy a lighthearted vote and discussion about what many consider to be the "silver age" era of superhero cartoon shows.

WildC.A.T.S. (October 1994 - January 1995)

Spider-Man: The Animated Series (November 1994 – January 1998)

Ultraforce (October 1995 - December 1995)

Superman: The Animated Series (September 1996- February 2000)

Batman Beyond - Intro by W_Jones

Spider-Man Unlimited (October 1999 - March 2001)

Avengers United They Stand (October 1999 - February 2000)

Note:The Silver Surfer (1998) intro was so "meh" I purposely didn't include it.

The '80s are considered the "golden age" of cartoons and the '90s are considered the "silver age".

You know it says "superhero" opening and not specifically comic book based... So I have to give a shout-out to Disney's Gargoyles opening with the awesome Keith David voice over. Plus, I always found the Darkwing Duck theme catchy.

Of the list, I'd go with X-men getting the edge over Batman, just because Bats theme was heavily inspired by Elfman's film theme... So points to the mutants for originality.

This is a joke, right?

Batman revolutionized modern kids' animation.

Batman Beyond's was pretty damn sweet too (and designed by Darwyn Cooke), but only because it had BTAS to live up to.

In what twisted reality could this:

...be better than effin' BATMAN?

I didn't know Ultraforce was aired. Cool. Batman wins. Swamp Thing's theme was changed about 3 or 4 episodes into the season, wonder why?????

I voted for BTAS. I also couldn't help but laugh at the fact that Tony Stark would weld with no shirt on.

By the way, I'm not trying to diss the X-Men series. I loved it, too. But, c'mon - have you seen it lately? It reeks of the '90s. (NOT a good thing. Remember JNCOs?)

Batman, on the other hand, is timeless. It could have been made yesterday.
