Robert Pattinson Will Not Be In HUNGER GAMES Sequel

The previous rumor has legs though as the actor revealed that he did put a call in to his agent regarding Catching Fire but nothing proceeded beyond that.

There was a rumor making the rounds that the Twilight star would move from one successful teen-novel series to another by starring in Hunger Games: Catching Fire. While I was initially skeptical, it seems that the rumor was indeed based on fact.

"I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent,” Pattinson, 26, told USA Today.

My agent was like, 'No,’ (laughs). (My agent) was like no one's going to offer you that part… I was like, thanks for the reassurance."

The Hunger Games was a fairly good movie and I can't say that I know what someone like Pattinson could bring to the film that it doesn't already have. Still, it's interesting to see what type of roles he's going after post Twilight.

Lionsgate announced that a film adaptation of Catching Fire will be released November 22, 2013, as a sequel to the film adaptation of The Hunger Games, which was released March 23, 2012.

Lionsgate has announced the film's November 22, 2013 release date with principal photography to take place in summer/fall 2012. The shooting timeframe was co-ordinated between Lionsgate and Fox, in order to allow time for star Jennifer Lawrence to shoot the sequel to Fox's X-Men: First Class in January 2013.

On April 10, 2012, it was announced that Gary Ross, the director of The Hunger Games, would not return due to a 'tight' and 'fitted' schedule. On April 19, 2012, it was announced that Francis Lawrence was offered the director position for the film. According to sources, the adaptation must be done filming by December 2012 to fit Jennifer Lawrence's schedule. Lionsgate officially announced Francis Lawrence as the director for Catching Fire on May 3, 2012. Two days later, it was reported that Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine) is in talks to re-write the script for Catching Fire. On May 24, 2012, the film was renamed The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Legend of Korra sucks. A huge let down considering how good the first series was.
nonserviam - 5/27/2012, 9:56 PM
Because Legend of Korra is crap?
pro346 - 5/27/2012, 10:00 PM
Thg was a poorly made overhyped snoozefest.....and the sequel will be the same.
RipperSavage - 5/27/2012, 10:21 PM
Sounds like the same kind of dumbass Agent that told Ralph Macchio to steer clear of Back To The Future.
Bad Agents can kill careers.
BlackFlash - 5/28/2012, 1:35 AM
The last 2 episodes of Legend of Korra were good the problem with it is that it's set in one place, on top of that it only shows one side of the story, the last series showed Aang and the gang and Zuko with his uncle, the new music doesn't help either.

I'll keep watching to see if it picks up, I wanna see some flashbacks to see what happened in the past.

Thank God!!!! He might be a great actor (but not that good) but the role does NOT fit him.
marvel72 - 5/28/2012, 4:32 AM
i didn't think much of the hunger games,it was good/boring in places so adding robert pattinson wouldn't of made a lick of difference to me.
