Said Hathaway on the first meeting:
"That was cool.... A fantasy, indeed," she said. "I had a total fan moment the first time he spoke in the Batman voice. I just like kind of giggled, it was a little unprofessional but I couldn't help it."

Aside from glowing remarks for Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale and co., she went on to say that her character does have a little something to do with Batman coming back after an 8 year sabbatical.

After Terminator, I could totally see that happening.
SmellofDuty - 7/12/2012, 10:00 AM
WHERE WERE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING?!?!?!¡¿¡¿¡
RorMachine - 7/12/2012, 10:01 AM
Taken slightly out of context don't ya think? The title suggests she laughed AT the voice, not giggled out of giddiness.

@rormachine "Anne Hathaway Talks About The Dark Knight Rises" is boring. Also Today's headline "Anne Hathaway's purrfectly goofy reaction to meeting Batman: 'I giggled'" People are having fun with it.
HelaGood - 7/12/2012, 10:06 AM
i think we all laughed the first time...
Spidey31 - 7/12/2012, 10:10 AM
"GOD DAMMIT ANNE!YOU'RE SO UN PROFESSIONAL HOW WOULD YOY LIKE IT IF I LAUGHED AT YOUR VOICE!" Chris Bale

Vafrous - 7/12/2012, 10:12 AM
Giggle giggle giggle...
Guerillas - 7/12/2012, 10:14 AM
Don´t like her in short hair, but it would make more sence if it looked like that in DKR......With a cowl with ears!
Greengo - 7/12/2012, 10:17 AM
Yeah he probably giggled when he heard her sultry slurring of her words as "Catwoman"

"I gaawt eett"
DarkKnight4ever - 7/12/2012, 10:19 AM
You guys are just too much. She giggled because she was in awe at being in the presence of the greatest superhero of all time. Come on, WAKE UP.
GreenHalJordan - 7/12/2012, 10:19 AM
Kinda like this?

lol, cant wait for TDKR!
tweeeeenkies3 - 7/12/2012, 10:20 AM
I adore Anne. She is just so amazing!
Gorgeous, funny, kind, and can kick MAJOR ass! I can't wait to see her as Catwoman. She will be fantastic.

I personally hate the Batman voice, but it is needed in this film. So I do understand why she would be giddy!
I like her silky voice she uses as Catwoman. It is much different than Anne's regular voice, and I like it!
She is so hot :)
JULEZ13 - 7/12/2012, 10:24 AM
@ Sanderman: LMFAOOOO!!!!!

Yeah right Anne Hathaway! We all know why you laughed! But it was a great politically correct answer! You don't want Bale to go bat-shit crazy on you! lol (Pun intended)
CrowPirate1 - 7/12/2012, 10:25 AM
well.. that's fair.. I laughed first time I heard she was going to play Catwoman.
ElDuce74 - 7/12/2012, 10:34 AM
That is just not an attractive woman. And she has a white girl pancake ass. The ONLY thing I don't like about this movie.
SpideyQuad - 7/12/2012, 10:47 AM
It's no mystery why Batman is back…

… Called the mullah
MilesMorales - 7/12/2012, 10:48 AM
@ElDuce74 Agreed. The battle between TDKR and Avengers begins and ends with Scarjo's booty. NO COMPARISON!!!! *MUNCH*
Scooby - 7/12/2012, 10:49 AM
I think Bale's Bat voice is perfect. As far as I know, this all started because of Kevin Smith's douchy comments - fat bastard.
Scooby - 7/12/2012, 10:51 AM
JackDexx - 7/12/2012, 10:59 AM
Thats funny He did the same thing when she came outta wardrobe for the first time.
marvel72 - 7/12/2012, 11:00 AM
i still do,it use to annoy me but now i just find it funny.
SpiderFan35 - 7/12/2012, 11:05 AM
I laughed the first time I heard it too.

Then when he kept doing it I cried.

Then when he did it in another movie I started cutting myself.

I may not make it through TDKR alive.

:P

@Scooby: Kevin Smith may be a fat bastard, but he is one of the most intelligent and articulate people in Hollywood, so I tend to side with him.
Scooby - 7/12/2012, 11:10 AM
@SpiderFan35 I thought Kevin Smith was cool for a bit - but he is an idiot and extremely unprofessional, I'm surprised people still think he has any sort of worth.
soforizo - 7/12/2012, 11:20 AM
What's up with Matt Lauer? There's no "living up" to Halle Berry's Catwoman!

Now I'd take me a young Halle Berry over Hathaway, but that's a different subject.
soforizo - 7/12/2012, 11:24 AM
@GreenHalJordan

Hahaha! Cool. I liked Gollum-Batman
Otisburg - 7/12/2012, 11:26 AM
im STILL laughing at his voice...
ElDuce74 - 7/12/2012, 11:30 AM
@soforizo: I'd take ANY Halle Berry over Anne Hathaway any day. I'm even talking about future Halle Berry, with dementia, shitting herself, and calling me by her Dad's name. Then again, I have issues.

As for the Kevin Smith comments. F-ck that fat bastard hack. One great movie in 20 years...and that was Red State which was NOTHING like his other movies (thankfully). Cop Out...Just saying. Jersey Girl...Just saying, again.
CharlesTheIncredible - 7/12/2012, 11:32 AM
i want the box
stealthboy - 7/12/2012, 11:36 AM
misleading title is misleading.
Godzillafart - 7/12/2012, 11:38 AM
She is a cutie, and she is kinda growing on me as Catwoman, but time will tell.

They have GOT to stop referring to this as "the most anticipated movie of the summer". It sounds desperate.

Regardless of whether this is great or not, I think it's pretty clear that the most anticipated movie of the summer already came out...and it made a billion and a half dollars.
drykillogic22 - 7/12/2012, 11:39 AM
I'm still laughing..And when was it OK for CW to have the body of a 12 yr old?..Curves please.
Stumblin - 7/12/2012, 12:14 PM
@drykillogic22, apparently you spend entirely too much time with 12 year old girls and not enough time with adult women. Hathaway definitely has curves, she just doesn't have fat people curves.
Oxbow - 7/12/2012, 12:29 PM
anne hathaway would laugh if she read this headline...

'Dark Knight Rises' Opts For Lighthearted, Cartoonish Tone

CPBuff22 - 7/12/2012, 12:44 PM
She must have been rollin when Bane came out.
hope420 - 7/12/2012, 12:46 PM
That short haircut really doesn't do her justice, not hating she just looks better with long hair to me! Anyways I think anyone sitting in front of Bale in the Batsuit would giggle a little when they first see him and and talk to him. I know I would I'd turn from a 38 year old man to a 5 year old kid seeing him in person in the Batsuit.
marantaz - 7/12/2012, 12:55 PM
I laughed when I heard TDKR was going to have another Catwoman in it. Then I asked 'Why?'. Then I saw she was going to be Catwoman. Then I cursed the casting and lack of creativity and original thinking of Nolan, and walked away in disgust. Go ahead, Nolanites, give it to me, I can take it.
marantaz - 7/12/2012, 12:56 PM
CPBuff22, yeah, no doubt, thought he was a rabid Umpa Lumpa.
Fogs - 7/12/2012, 12:59 PM
hehehe... Don't worry Anne, you're not the only one.
DragonofDarknessXIII - 7/12/2012, 1:04 PM
Damn straight its the most anticipated film.
worldbreaker - 7/12/2012, 1:21 PM
bale is a mouthbreather
Clundgren - 7/12/2012, 2:07 PM
Why? Why did it have to be Anne Hathaway? Why?
kemuael - 7/12/2012, 2:16 PM
its ok anne i laughed at bane voice also :-D
Geektality - 7/12/2012, 2:24 PM
A giggle is different from a laugh. A fan moment makes people giddy. Laughing implies she thought it was funny, which she didn't. Bad Journalism!
PapaMidnight - 7/12/2012, 3:05 PM
This article is totally tendentious and out of context. Shame.
