So, what did you guys think of the eighth episode of Arrow? Was that the Huntress you wanted to see and what do you think about the way her relationship with Arrow unfolded?

ARROW AND THE HUNTRESS TEAM UP--As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Helena (guest star Jessica De Gouw) grow closer, Oliver trains her to be his ally, complete with showing her how to use a crossbow. Diggle (David Ramsey) disapproves of Oliver sharing his secret with Helena as he’s not sure she can be trusted, but Oliver refuses to listen to his concerns. Helena’s quest for revenge proves to be too strong for Oliver to handle after she kills the head of the Triad and all hell breaks loose. Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson and Paul Blackthorne also star. Ken Fink directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Andrew Kreisberg (#108).

IT’S CHRISTMAS TIME AT THE QUEEN HOUSEHOLD--Oliver (Stephen Amell) discovers that after he and his father went missing, Moira (Susanna Thompson) and Thea (Willa Holland) stopped celebrating Christmas. Determined to make up for lost time and restore a sense of normalcy to the Queen household, Oliver decides to throw the family a Christmas party. Meanwhile, Tommy (Colin Donnell) asks Laurel (Katie Cassidy) to spend Christmas with him but she points out that Christmas was also her sister Sara’s birthday and she needs to be with her father (Paul Blackthorne). Tommy suggests changing things up might be the best way for everyone to heal but Laurel isn’t sure her father is ready for that. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) tells Oliver someone is murdering the people on his father’s list with arrows, which sends Oliver off to face his toughest adversary yet. John Dahl directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Marc Guggenheim and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim (109).

Tonight's episode of Arrow was decent. Marc & Andrew ripped off Chris Noan's Catwoman look, not a lot of action, & Katie Cassidy did not get enough screen time. I will give Arrow a 7/10.

The Huntress actress is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!
Those lips kept me captivated... As 4 the show, it's ok nothing amazing but not completely shit either...

I thought this was a pretty nice episode. Interesting that Huntress is, in this show, a bit of a Punisher-type--but at least she's ditching the pistols.

Ollie and Huntress WERE bad ass.

I like this show, but that chick who plays Huntress is just lousy. Man, where does the CW find actresses, the Days of Our Lives reject file?

Also, how many times is somebody going to point a machine gun DIRECTLY at Ollie and miss completely. COME ON!

Anyway, the show is pretty cool but could be way better. It needs to be a little more True Blood and a little less Twilight.

Wow-- they seem really intent on selling a Joker parallel in that midseason finale trailer. Having a hostage read a message on television? Swearing to kill people at a regular interval until the hero reveals himself? Sure, this is another archer rather than a crazy clown, but so far the M.O.s are lining up...

Nevertheless, I CAN'T WAIT to see that episode-- hopefully the mystery archer is either Tommy Merlyn (doubtful) or his father, since, y'know, an archer named Merlyn is Green Arrow's arch-enemy and all. If this dude turns out to be just an anonymous archer-guy, I'll be sorely disappointed...

I will be pissed if the mystery archer turns out to be Tommy. His father? Sure. Tommy, no.

@yossarian

Networks have been using breaks in broadcast schedules for several season's now.

They've started referring to these as "Midseason Finale" as they tend to have a big event in them and they want to viewer to be fully aware that the show IS coming back and WHEN that is. creates demand and avoids lower viewership through the holidays.

I didn't like it when Huntress left after Oliver saved her life. This show is great, can't wait for next week! ;)

I'm a little surprised that Oliver is talking about "justice" already.

But maybe he was just having a blonde moment.

I don't see how Helena can fight but not have discipline.

Diggle seems very restrained in this episode.

I'm watching it right now and I find it hilarious that drug dealers care enough about the environment to use energy saver light bulbs to light up their drug warehouse. lol.

You might say that Arrow has some strong unsupporting actors.
